My thoughts on The Mandalorian and Grogu movie: Not every movie has to be a work of art or commentary on some big theme. This is a movie that is fun, exciting, heartfelt, and funny. And honestly, sometimes that’s enough. It’s no surprise that Disney chose to make a movie of The Mandalorian. The series […]
And the winner of the Star Wars characters tournament is…
Disney in your Day readers have been voting for their favorite Star Wars characters on both the blog and on instagram throughout the month of March and early April. Now it’s finally time to announce the ultimate winner of our tournament! Our final two were both strong contenders, and it was a close one. We […]
March tournament 2023 – Star Wars characters, final round
It’s the final round of the Star Wars characters tournament – only two remain… While there were a couple of surprises along the way in how the voting went, I think we ended up with 2 solid choices for the best Star Wars character. My personal choice is still in the running (which doesn’t often […]
Disney mug of the month: Grogu Corksicle
If you’ve been around Disney World much lately and you happen to pay attention to merchandise, you’re probably familiar with Corksicle (or you’ve at least heard the name). They started popping up around Disney Springs, and then became a sponsor for some of the RunDisney events. They have a number of collabs with Disney now, […]
March 2023 tournament – Star Wars characters, round 4
We are now on to round 4, which means we now have your final 4 Star Wars characters! We’re down to one from the light side, one from the dark side, one droid, and one from our “other” category. If I had to guess from the beginning, most of these would probably have been my […]
March 2023 tournament – Star Wars characters, round 3
Okay, the Disney in your Day fans have spoken – here are the Star Wars characters who have made it to round 3! Some of the match-ups in this round were still runaways, with the result being pretty obvious, but most of them were actually extremely close. We had a few obvious results – as […]
March 2023 tournament – Star Wars characters, round 2
The first round of the Star Wars characters tournament has come to an end! Typically round 1 is pretty easy. I attempt to seed the entries in the order that I believe will be most popular (occasionally I’m proven wrong, but I’m confident in a good number of them). I mean, while there might be […]
March 2023 tournament – Star Wars characters, round 1
It’s time for the annual Disney in your Day March tournament! I guess I can now officially call it the “9th annual” since this is the 9th year I’ve hosted a Disney tournament on the blog. Even though we’ve been through lots of Disney related topics and voting in the past, it seems there are […]
Disney mug of the month: Batuu
Starbucks has been making their “You are Here” mugs for a long time (though they have been renamed “Been There”), and of course for Disney fans it was big news when they started doing them for the Disney theme parks. Then last year we got a collection of Star Wars ones! I thought these were […]
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser – what you need to know
Last updated 1/31/23: Everything we know about the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser experience: People have been talking about the Galactic Starcruiser for years now, and Disney finally has some new details! While some have referred to this as the “Star Wars hotel,” that’s not what this is (more on that below). This experience isn’t going […]
