About Disney in your Day
I have always been passionate about Disney, and I have a need to thoroughly research and learn everything I can about the things I love. As someone with a background in writing, it only seemed natural that Disney in your Day was born as a way to help other Disney lovers learn about all things Disney and find creative ways to experience the Disney magic!
I actually wrote my first Disney guidebook in 1998, at the age of 10. I started it in a notebook during our “afternoon breaks” in my Disney hotel room. While that content may not have made it on this website, I have been writing here about all things Disney since 2013.
I love sharing things about all the theme parks (Disney World is my “home” park and I visit several times a year). There are tons of great resources and articles on this blog about Disney travel. But I also want it to be a place where we can get a taste of the Disney magic even when we’re not at a park. How can you incorporate Disney into your every day life? I’ve shared a number of Disney recipes, DIY projects, outfit inspiration, and more that you can enjoy wherever you are in the world to bring a little bit of pixie dust into your everyday life.

About Becky Ginther
Becky Ginther, creator of Disney in your Day
My name is Becky and I’m the creator and writer of all content here on Disney in your Day. I’m a Disney expert and travel agent excited to share my knowledge with you all. In my “day job” I work as a children’s librarian with a master’s degree in library and information science and a teaching certification.
I have always loved writing and started writing for another Disney blog many years ago. When I realized what a perfect fit it was for me, I decided to create my own website to share the vast knowledge that I have and my passion for all things Disney. This journey has also led me to become a travel agent with Castle Dreams Travel, where I’ve been helping to plan magical vacations for people for over 7 years.
I visit the theme parks often – I am an annual passholder at Walt Disney World and visit 3-4 times a year. I also make trips to Disneyland in California about every other year, I have done a number of Disney cruises, and I’ve been to Disneyland Paris.
My goal is to create thorough, detailed resources for anyone looking to learn about Disney. With a master’s degree in library and information science I’m an expert at researching and finding the best reliable resources and information. With information literacy being such a critical part of our society right now, it’s important to me to have a place here where information is well-researched, presented clearly, and factual. I want people to know they can count on me – providing quality content is my #1 priority.
I try to bring an educational aspect to Disney sometimes as well, incorporating my education background and work with kids. And of course some fun! Disney is loved by kids but it’s also a great way to bring out the kid at heart.
I have a few other hobbies that I pursue when I’m not doing all things Disney. I am an avid runner (I love RunDisney events), I occasionally participate in community theater or singing events, and I read as much as I can (I even started an online Disney book club).

Where are you from again?
Pennsylvania 🙂
Cool, if you ever come down to Orlando anytime soon, it’d be cool to meet!
I laughed when I saw your “guide book” comment… I drew a Disneyland map by hand to chart our course and created a training program for my brother and I that involved watching every Disney movie & standing for long periods of time while wearing backpacks… Yep.
Oh my gosh that is hilarious! I think standing around a lot with a backpack on is really great training, haha!
Hey Becky,
Interested in being a contestant again on my 2nd season of the WWTBAM-Animation Edition games? I need a few more contestants.
Another chance to be embarrassed about my lack of animation knowledge? Sure, I could do that! In all seriousness I would enjoy doing it again 😉
Thanks! I’ll mark you down as confirmed and let you know more in the coming weeks.
