When Disney came out with the ABC series of mugs, I knew I would have to get at least one: the letter O! Because it features my favorite Disney character, the orange bird. (I also ended up getting the letters to spell out my name – I’ve featured the letter B and the letter Y before, so if you’re paying attention you know what letters you’ll see shared as a mug of the month in the future!). And I can’t resist an orange bird mug!
I fell in love with the orange bird when he was reintroduced to Disney in 2012, but for awhile he was mostly unfamiliar to many people. I bought every single piece of merchandise they put out because it wasn’t much – and it was a few years before Disney even released a mug! Then his popularity exploded (I want to say around 2017 or 2018) and there are plenty of items with my favorite little guy.
Of course that includes several mugs, at least one of which I’ve featured before on the blog. I’m a big fan of this new one from the ABC series though!
It’s got the little guy in his classic pose with his wings spread out inside the letter O. Decorated all around him are oranges, leaves, and of course a citrus swirl. It’s not as bright an orange as some of the other merch but I really like the style. The white background is also slightly textured which makes it bit more unique.
I’m a big fan of this series of mugs not just because of the designs but because of the size as well. They are slightly bigger than many of the typical mugs I have, but not so huge or oddly shaped that they’re hard to handle.

What’s in my mug: Expedition Roasters doesn’t have an orange bird inspired coffee (yet!), but they have a few that are based on Adventureland. This morning I’m enjoying the Enchanted Tiki Coconut. I actually got the sample pack from them which includes 8 small bags of different flavors. I’ve had most of the flavors before but I love variety so this lets me have something a little different each day!
What I’m currently reading: I got this book on Disneybounding for Christmas and now that I finally have a Disney trip next month I’m digging into it! It’s got some great tips and examples on creating a Disneybound outfit. I’m planning a Wall-e and Eve bound with my friend for next month, but as I was reading I was inspired to do so many others too. And of course I haven’t done an orange bird disneybound yet! So that will definitely be on the list.
What mug are you using right now? And what are you currently reading?
