Happy almost-Halloween! Truth be told, I didn’t think I would have a Halloween mug to feature this month. I’ve shared a number of Halloween or spooky themed mugs in the past in the past (you can check out my collection that includes a Grogu Halloween travel mug, Disney villains, the Hatbox Ghost, Mickey Jack O’Lantern, the Evil Queen’s Candy Cauldron, and the Tower of Terror).
But lo and behold, my best friend Kristin to the rescue! She is a Halloween person through and through, and I was lucky enough to be gifted a Disney Halloween mug. My friends have been pretty excellent at feeding my Disney mug addiction 😉
This one is cute and absolutely perfect for Halloween. It has your classic orange and black colors, with spider webs, bats, and Mickey heads. But make sure you look closely at the bats – they have Mickey heads, too!
The inside of the mug is a bright “Halloween orange,” which just adds to the fun. Orange is my favorite color, so I’m a big fan.
What’s in my mug: Last month I had completely run out of coffee. Disaster! I was about to place an order somewhere (and buy some store brand coffee to hold me over in the meantime), when I got a text from a different friend who was out shopping and saw Disney Joffrey’s coffee on sale! She asked me if I wanted any of the 4 flavors available, and I picked out two. She then bought me all 4 because my friends are awesome. Currently I’m focusing on the “Mickey and Minnie’s Not So Scary Pumpkin Brew,” because Halloween is all about the pumpkin flavors for me!
What I’m currently reading: I’ve just started Matt Haig’s newest book, called The Life Impossible. His most famous book is The Midnight Library. While I enjoyed that one it wasn’t my favorite – but I’ve really loved some other things he’s written. I’m listening to this one on audiobook and only a few chapters in, but his writing is so good. It’s about an older woman who finds out she was left a house in Ibiza in the will of a co-worker she knew long ago. There are definitely themes of grief and depression so far. Interestingly, it isn’t getting great ratings on GoodReads. I’m not really reading the reviews to stay spoiler-free, but for the most part it seems like people think it gets a bit too weird and supernatural. We’ll see what I think – after all, most people found the Midnight Library to be a 5-star read when I only gave it 4 stars!
What mug are you using right now? And have you read any good books lately?
