Welcome to October everyone! So far the weather here has been pretty great, so I’m not too disappointed about losing summer. And there are a lot of things I love about fall: the colors, the cooler air for running, and the excuse to dress up in fun costumes! Not to mention… yes, the flavors of fall. While a pumpkin spice latte is a little too sweet for me, I do enjoy pumpkin spice flavored coffee, pumpkin pastries, etc.
And in the spirit of fall and Halloween at the end of this month, it was time to break out my Mickey Jack O’Lantern mug! The mug is a bright orange color (and if you’ve seen my blogging studio, you know I love bright orange so this fits right in!). It has a jack o’lantern face, but of course the thing that makes this one special is the fact that its eyes are shaped like Mickey! The perfect way to bring Disney and Halloween together with my morning coffee. I snagged this cutie over at TeePublic.
What’s in my cup: Well, I guess I kind of made it obvious in my opening paragraph, but I’ve of course got pumpkin spice coffee in my mug! My favorite pumpkin spice coffee is the Pumpkin King from Expedition Roasters – but it sells out quickly every year! They have some other great sounding flavors though that would be good for fall. I may have to buy Simply Sinful (chocolate raspberry) or Ghoulish Delight (cinnamon bun) next!
What I’m currently reading: I’ve owned this book for almost a year, have heard really good things, but other books always seemed to jump to the top of my to-read list. So now I’m giving it a go! I’ve literally just started it, so not much to say yet. It centers around a girl who dreams of going to “Caraval,” which is a show involving “audience participation.” Sounds to me like it’s going to be rather dark in a Hunger Games – esque way. Hopefully it’s as good a read as those books!
What’s in your cup this month? And what are you currently reading?
