Disney released this ABC collection of mugs about two years ago, and I have to say that I’m really loving them. I originally only planned to buy one or two (my thought was to get the O with the orange bird on it, and maybe the B with Big Thunder Mountain railroad for the first letter of my name).
Of course, it didn’t take long for me to realize that I liked a lot of the designs, and it turned out some of my favorites were also the letters to spell out my name. I really liked the K mug because it had Kilimanjaro Safaris on it and you don’t see a ton of merchandise for that one, which is one of my favorite attractions. Being me, at that point I also added the letter E, letter C, and letter Y to my wish list so I could spell out my name!
Today I’m featuring the letter E, which is all about the Enchanted Tiki room. I love all of the detail on this mug, with 5 tiki birds represented. We have the 4 main hosts of the show plus one of the lovely lady birds. In the letter E itself is also 2 tiki masks and some fun designs. We have some music notes around as well, because you can’t think of this attraction without humming the song, right?
I really like these mugs not just because of the designs, but also because they’re a good size. Not too big and not too small. Aside from the design the rest of the mug is white and a bit textured, without any sort of design on the back.

What’s in my mug: I recently purchased some more Joffrey’s coffee, so I got a few different ones to try. Joffrey’s makes a lot of the coffee available at the Disney theme parks and I really like it. They have some specialty blends for various Disney restaurants. Right now I’m drinking the Tusker House coffee, since that restaurant just reopened and I actually managed to get a lunch reservation there in two weeks!
What I’m currently reading: Our current selection for the Disney in your Day book club is Loki: Where Mischief Lies by Mackenzi Lee. I’m about half way through it so far and I’m enjoying it. I really liked two of her other books I read so I have high hopes for this one but it hasn’t completely grabbed me yet. I’m not sure yet how I feel about the portrayal of Loki. It feels perhaps a bit too sympathetic so far, making him out to be a better person and less of a villain. On the other hand the story focuses more on early years so it may develop and we’ll see how he became a more ambiguous figure. I’ll be curious to see how the rest of it is!
What mug are you using right now? And what are you currently reading?
