March 2026 tournament – Muppets, final round

It’s the final round of the Muppets tournament…

Normally I would say “only two remain,” but it turns out I have quite a bit of a conundrum! We were down to our final 4: Kermit vs. Fozzie, and Gonzo vs. Miss Piggy.

Kermit beat out Fozzie easily. But Gonzo and Miss Piggy? Well, that one was close. So close, in fact, that even when I added up the votes from instagram and the blog, it was a tie!

What to do? Should I find someone who didn’t vote and ask them to be a tiebreaker? But then I figured, why not switch things up a little? After all, it’s my tournament. There’s no rules saying I can’t have a final three.

So that’s what we’ve got! Kermit, the clear winner on his side of the bracket, is going to go head-to-head with both Miss Piggy and Gonzo. I wasn’t sure if I should just do a vote with 3 options (Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Gonzo), or two separate polls: Kermit vs. Miss Piggy, and then Kermit vs. Gonzo.

Since we’re breaking the rules anyway, I figured it would be interesting to see who challenges Kermit more. So I have two polls. If Kermit wins, he has to beat both of them! If one of them beats Kermit, then that one is the winner. If Gonzo and Miss Piggy both beat Kermit, I guess I do one more final round of Gonzo vs. Piggy (and learn that people are just really not a fan of Fozzie!).
