March 2026 tournament: Muppets, round 2

And now, the first round of the Muppets tournament is over!

There were a few close match-ups, but for the most part I think I seeded the bracket pretty well and the Muppets I expected to win this round, did. But it only gets harder from here. Already in round 2 we have some tough choices!

There were a few characters who got more votes than I expected, and some who got fewer votes than I thought. Bobo in particular made a pretty impressive showing against Dr. Teeth! Robin also held his own pretty well against Rizzo, and Scooter barely nudged out Camilla.

And I personally was glad to see Walter pull through this round! He’s one of my favorite Muppets, even if he’s one of the newest (possibly the most recent addition?).

A few who I’m sorry to say goodbye to (sad but necessary) include Janice, Robin, Sweetums, Zoot, and Uncle Deadly. We lost most of The Electric Mayhem, although Dr. Teeth and Animal are still in it. Miss Piggy is the only remaining female Muppet (we need more lady muppets!).

Every Muppet got at least one vote – including Annie Sue, who only got 1.

I think some of these match-ups are going to be pretty tough to decide. A few still feel fairly obvious to me, but I’ve been surprised in the past!
