How to make a Captain Marvel running costume

September 21, 2020 by Becky 4 Comments

Today I’m excited to share my Captain Marvel running costume, which I wore for the marathon as part of my Dopey Challenge in 2020! I debated for a long time about which Disney character I wanted to dress up as for the full marathon as part of my Dopey Challenge. It was important to me […]

How to make an orange bird running costume

August 28, 2020 by Becky Leave a Comment

Okay, today I am sharing what might possibly be my favorite RunDisney outfit to date – my orange bird running costume! I have been a fan of the orange bird since they brought back the citrus swirl in 2012. There would be the rare piece of merchandise with him and I’d snatch it up right […]

How to make a Joy running costume

April 16, 2020 by Becky Leave a Comment

When I ran the Disney World 10k I decided to dress up as Joy from Inside Out as one of my costumes! She is one of my favorite characters ever. It’s funny, because even as someone who can suffer from depression and anxiety, I relate a lot to Joy. I can be extremely passionate, excited, […]

How to make a Minnie Mouse running costume

February 17, 2020 by Becky Leave a Comment

One of the things I was most excited about when it came to the Dopey Challenge was planning what costumes I was going to wear for each race! I’m a sucker for getting dressed up, so it was fun to plan out 4 different outfits. I ended up going with a Minnie Mouse running costume […]

How to make an Elsa running costume

May 30, 2019 by Becky 8 Comments

With registration for next year’s Princess races opening soon (annual passholders can register today, and general public can register on Tuesday), it seemed like a good time to share my Elsa running costume!  I knew I wanted to do Elsa for one of my races this year, so I selected her for the Enchanted 10k.  […]

How to make a Mulan running costume

Who else is training for the Princess Half Marathon? Last February I decided to continue my streak of creating princess running costumes for the Princess Half Marathon! Since I’ve now participated in this race weekend for 5 years I’ve done quite a lot of princesses, but there are still more to do! For the half […]

How to make a Fairy Godmother running costume

March 29, 2018 by Becky Leave a Comment

For the first time in a Princess race, I didn’t run as a princess! Because I was traveling with a group of people, many of whom were also running, we decided to do a group costume. After much debate over which movie to do and what characters everyone would be, we finally settled on Cinderella.  […]

How to make a Moana running costume

May 19, 2017 by Becky 2 Comments

Is Moana considered a princess?  Well, I don’t know what you think, but I believe she is.  She may not have the official princess title, but she’s the daughter of the village chief so she’s as much one as Pocahontas.  She’s also strong, independent, and fun, which is why I chose to do a Moana […]

How to make a Vanellope running costume

March 24, 2017 by Becky 8 Comments

I love planning RunDisney costumes, and doing them for the Princess races are some of my favorites.  I’ve traditionally done a princess for every one of these races.  I followed along in that theme this year as well, though I chose to do some more “non-traditional” princesses rather than the typical ones.  For the Enchanted […]

How to make a Megara running costume

January 27, 2017 by Becky 8 Comments

Choosing a running costume for the Disney World marathon required a lot of thought and debate for me.  This was big – the marathon! – so I wanted to pick a character I really liked.  Running the marathon also represented strength and courage, so I wanted to pick a Disney character who also represented those […]

About Me

Hi, I'm Becky!

I'm a huge Disney fan in my early 30's and always trying to find a way to put a little bit of Disney into everyday life. I live in Pennsylvania but travel to the theme parks several times a year - I'm an annual passholder at Disney World! In addition to Disney I love traveling, running, and theater.
