September 2014 monthly round up

September 1, 2014 by Becky Leave a Comment

Happy September!  It’s one of my favorite months of the year.  To start things off it’s my anniversary (we will be celebrating 3 years on the 3rd!), and it’s also one of my favorite times of year to visit Disney World.  We went for our honeymoon and it was so empty we hardly had to wait for anything.

Disney in your Day news

SnowWhite6

I just recently started re-watching all of the Disney animated features, in order.  I’ll be posting some thoughts on each one (Snow White is already up!).  So look for one of those to come every 1-2 weeks.  The Tower of Terror 10 miler looms ever closer, as does my trip to Disney.  It will be a trip of many firsts – first 10 mile race, first time at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, and first time at Food and Wine!  I can’t wait!  Finally, I would love to finish our restaurant bracket with the signature resort restaurants.  I think this will be a toughie because there are so many fantastic ones out there.  I’ll be interested to see the results!

Disney News

Soarin1

  • The Epcot Food and Wine festival has gotten some new events this year, including an after hours party for $79 per person and a premium package of $200 per person.  Do you think it’s worth it?
  • This is something I’m excited about: apparently Soarin’s video is going to be updated to “Soarin’ around the World,” featuring footage from countries around the globe. Word has it that a third theater will be added as well to hopefully lessen wait times.
  • We all knew it was coming, but Bob Iger finally admitted that Star Wars will soon be expanded in the parks.  His exact quote is that they are “developing designs for a far greater ‘Star Wars’ presence in the parks.”
  • At Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party, you can pay an extra $99 per person for a dessert party and special viewing for the parade and fireworks.  Worth it?

Are you still looking for anything and everything Frozen?  Capturing the Magic shares a post on all the Frozen merchandise available out there – both in the parks and from other places like Target!

The Disney Food Blog has shared a sneak peak at some of the Food and Wine merchandise for this year.  It will be my first time at Food and Wine and I already want it all!

Over at Jambo Everyone, they share thoughts about the possibility of Harambe Nights expanding.  It’s all speculation but I like some of the ideas!

About Me

Hi, I'm Becky!

I'm a huge Disney fan in my early 30's and always trying to find a way to put a little bit of Disney into everyday life. I live in Pennsylvania but travel to the theme parks several times a year - I'm an annual passholder at Disney World! In addition to Disney I love traveling, running, and theater.
