Even with Christmas looking a bit different this past year, we still had a lovely holiday and I was very fortunate to receive some really nice gifts from friends and family. Perhaps not surprisingly I think at least 70% of my gifts were Baby Yoda related! (And yes, I know he has a name now but I still like using Baby Yoda). And were two of them Baby Yoda mugs? Yeah, people know me well.
This one is just too cute. It’s got a cartoon style drawing of The Child and underneath it says “would rather be napping.” Honestly, I’m not sure I’ve ever related to anything more. And I hadn’t even seen this mug before so it was a great surprise from my friend! The back has The Mandalorian logo and says The Child on it.
It was actually part of a whole gift set, so the mug also came with two different notebooks and a pen. I’ve got the pen at my desk right now and it says on it “no, seriously, nap time.” It cracks me up! And the notebooks are cute and I’m using little things like that all the time.
What’s in my mug: Currently I am finishing up some of my Expedition Roasters coffee so I can make way for a Joffrey’s order I just placed. That should arrive soon so I’m looking forward to having some Disney parks coffee to remind me of my other home. But in the meantime I really enjoying the Prospector’s Roast from them right now. It’s churro flavored but I appreciate that the flavor is subtle and not overly sweet. I love having both Expedition Roasters and Joffrey’s in my coffee supply.
What I’m currently reading: I came across the book Reasons to Stay Alive by Matt Haig in early December when my depression was hitting hard. I wasn’t able to get my hands on a copy until this month so I had to wait a bit, but I’m definitely appreciating it. It’s partly his personal story with anxiety and depression and partly just some of his thoughts on these mental health issues. It’s an easy and approachable read to the topic and goes quickly. As someone who was starting to wonder why we are alive this was appropriate and rather in line with my own conclusions and feelings after watching Pixar’s Soul.
What mug are you using right now? And what are you currently reading?
This morning I’m having tea in the Minnie Mouse mug I won in a contest and rereading some Agatha Christie short stories and novels.
Such a cute mug! I absolutely love The Mandalorian and Grogu is the cutest.

??
What an adorable mug! I relate to Baby Yoda, in that I would almost always rather be napping too. The book you are reading sounds like a great natural successor to watching Soul.
As a mug collector I love this series you are doing!!
