I have only just barely made in posting my mug of the month for July! But today is the 31st (happy birthday Harry Potter!). And that means I still managed to share my newest mug in my collection. I’ve been posting one every month since April 2016, so I have a pretty good streak going!
As you may know if you’re a regular reader of the blog, I was able to attend the D23 Expo this year. And while there were certainly ups and downs, one of the more frustrating things was actually trying to buy merchandise! The limited edition merch is so popular and in demand that getting into the shops is yet another thing that you have to wait in long lines for. However, I did get into the Disney Dream shop, which had some limited edition merchandise as well as D23 Expo stuff.
I’m sure it doesn’t surprise you that one of the D23 specific items I had to get was a mug! They only had one mug, and unfortunately it wasn’t a super fun or exciting design, but at least I have a memento that shows I was at the D23 Expo (and something to show for all of my time waiting in line!). It’s a pretty classy looking mug, and I do like the expo logo with the Mickey ears on the “o”.
What’s in my cup: My anxiety’s been acting up again so I haven’t been drinking as much coffee – I don’t need the caffeine when I’m already so high-strung. So I’ve been having more tea lately. I have a variety of looseleaf tea samples, so I’m working through some of them.
What I’m currently reading: Another book I got at BookExpo, this one is a YA novel called the Big Lie taking place in an alternate reality where the Nazis won WWII. I’m about halfway through it and it’s a very intriguing concept, though I have some qualms about the way that it’s written. But I’m into it and I can’t wait to see where it heads and how it ends. I think the book touches on a lot of interesting concepts of not just right and wrong, but also how information is shared and of course the amount of control the government has over the people.
What’s in your cup? And what are you currently reading?
I want that mug, lol! It’s not overtly fancy; it’s just right!
Haha that’s true, it’s nice and subtle – it will be a good one for me to bring to work!
Love and so jealous that you got to D23!! I. an an iced coffee gal but nothing goes better with books than coffee! -Erika-
I do love iced coffee in the summer, but I still always start my day with hot coffee!
