Take a look inside a Wilderness Lodge club level room:
Last September Jason and I had the amazing opportunity to stay club level at Wilderness Lodge for our anniversary. In addition to the resort being gorgeous and the club level amenities being a real treat, the rooms are super nice too.
Wilderness Lodge Club Level rooms are mostly the same as the standard rooms at the resort. And as a deluxe resort, that means they are super nice! But the rooms themselves aren’t very different.
We were put in room 7053, which was on the 7th floor and not too far down the hallway from the club level lounge. You have to swipe your key card or MagicBand to access the entire club level area, including where the rooms are located.
The room basics
When you first come into the room, you have a closet on one side and the bathroom to your other side.
The closet had two sections – one with plenty of hanger space, and the other with some shelves (and the safe).
Continuing into the room you’ll find some counter space with the coffee machine, ice bucket, and a mini fridge in a cabinet below. The coffee machine was a keurig, and they had a number of different K cups available in the drawer that you could use.
The main area of the room has your typical hotel setup: two queen beds with a dresser and TV across from them. Next to the dresser you also have a table with two chairs and a mirror.
Like all deluxe resorts, this room does have a baclony with two outdoor chairs and a small table. But because it was on the top floor, the balcony was not your typical balcony. Instead of a railing, you have more of a concrete half-wall. That means if you’re sitting outside on your balcony you can’t really see much unless you stand up. This might be good or bad depending on what you prefer – you don’t get any views sitting, but it also feels a bit more secluded and private.
We could absolutely watch the Electrical Water Pageant from our balcony – the video below gives you an idea of what we could see and the angle. For the fireworks in the evening, you have access to the club level lounge which has some really nice views.
Beds
There are a few different club level room types – you can book the regular resort view with 2 queen beds or 1 king bed. There is also a “Deluxe room” option, which is slightly larger and has the 2 queen beds plus a pull-out sofa.
We were in the room with 2 queen beds, and I remember it being quite comfy. I usually sleep pretty well on the beds and mattresses at Disney!
Bathroom
When you enter the bathroom you have a large mirror, counter space, and two sinks. There is a sliding door that separates this section from the main part of the bathroom.
In there you have the toilet and shower. This one is still a shower and bathtub combo, with a sliding glass door and two choices of showerheads – the one that is on the ceiling, or a more angled one that you can also remove and have more control over.
Themeing
Like all of Wilderness Lodge, the rooms here have a rustic theme to them while still feeling classy and elegant. I appreciated that the room didn’t feel too dark – I think that can happen sometimes when you’re going for rustic. There were still dark woods used, but it was complemented by light greens and browns.
I also enjoy when the resorts go a little bit further with some fun themeing elements, like the wall behind the beds! It is “Wilderness Lodge,” after all, so it makes sense to have a forest behind you. And if you look closely, you can see two friends in the picture too! You might also notice that the headboards have a design that is reminiscent of tree trunks.
There are a few other fun details too – you can spot Bambi in some of the artwork above, by the coffee maker. And the side of the bed which didn’t have a nightstand had a small shelf, with a “camp” sign on it.
Location
All of the Wilderness Lodge club level rooms are located on the highest floor in the main building. Wilderness Lodge is pretty compact overall, but you can be a little further away from things if you are staying at Boulder Ridge.
Here, you really can’t get much closer! You look down into the main lobby, and the club level lounge has concierge services and almost anything you could need. It’s a quick and easy trip down the elevator to get to the restaurants and the pool is just outside.

Overall thoughts on the Wilderness Lodge club level room
I really liked the room we stayed at here at Wilderness Lodge. The rooms are nice, with some subtle Disney themeing, and very spacious. It felt pretty quiet here too. We were facing the pool area, and we could also watch the Electrical Water Pageant from our balcony!
Of course, a lot of the appeal was having access to the club level lounge. This stay definitely sticks out in my mind, but I’m not sure the room would have made a huge difference! That being said, we did spend more time at the resort than we normally do to take advantage of the club level amenities, so it was great to have such a nice space to stay in.
