Top posts of 2018

December 28, 2018 by Becky Leave a Comment

As we reach the end of another year, it’s fun to look back at which posts did well on the blog! And in case you missed any of them I figured I’d share here – it seems these were the “good ones” at least according to some people! If you’ve been reading my goals and updates you’ll know I’ve been a little disheartened because my blog stats are down overall. And while that’s still the case, it’s also really great to see that I had about 400,000 pageviews for the year. People do read the blog! And they actually care!

So counting down for 10 to #1, here were the top posts on Disney in your Day (according to Google Analytics’ pageviews) for the past year:

10. Upcoming Disney Movies for 2018

It’s fun to see all of the fun movies coming out for the year, so this was a popular post in the first half of 2018. How many did you end up seeing?

9.  Best Breakfasts at Walt Disney World

Who doesn’t love breakfast? I may have to go back and edit this post to add Kona Cafe and Trattoria al Forno.

8. Disney Subscription Boxes

Disney subscription box - Disney in your day

I love Disney subscription boxes and have worked hard on keeping this list updated and full of info for other Disney subscription box lovers – I’m glad to see it’s still a popular one!

7. Top 10 Animal Kingdom snacks

I love snacks and I love Animal Kingdom! I’ve also written about the Top 10 Magic Kingdom snacks – so maybe I’ll have to do Epcot and Hollywood Studios next.

6. Traveling to Disney with 5 or more people

The more people you add onto a Disney trip the more work it becomes – trying to find accommodations, make dining and fastpass reservations, and just generally all get along! I’d done a few bigger trips with 5-9 people so I shared some advice for bigger groups in this post.

5. Top 25 Disney Shirts on Etsy

At this point I’d say it’s possible half of my closet is Disney stuff, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that!  I happen to like a lot of the stuff sold on Etsy better than what’s available in the parks sometimes, and with the popularity of this post it seems I’m not alone.

4. Dole Whip recipe

There are tons of dole whip lovers out there, so it’s not surprising that they want to make it at home too.  I’m glad my dole whip recipe can help people out!

3.  What to do the month before you leave for Disney

When I saw how popular my post was on what to do the week before you leave for Disney, I thought those who plan even more in advance might appreciate a longer timeline – and hopefully this did help people!

2. Disney tips you (probably) didn’t think of

And the post that was most popular this year was what to do the week before you leave for Disney.  If you get as stressed and crazy as I do right before a trip then you can understand why a blog post with reminders of what you should do could be important!  I still look up this post myself before I go away to make sure I’ve done everything, even though I wrote it!

About Me

Hi, I'm Becky!

I'm a huge Disney fan in my early 30's and always trying to find a way to put a little bit of Disney into everyday life. I live in Pennsylvania but travel to the theme parks several times a year - I'm an annual passholder at Disney World! In addition to Disney I love traveling, running, and theater.
