Hollywood Studios might rank the lowest on my list of parks and places to get good food, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some good hidden gems there, and plenty of snacks in Hollywood Studios. They’ve stepped up their game in the past year or two, and I suspect that when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens we’ll see lots of fun and interesting Star Wars inspired snacks. Until then, here are what I consider to be the top 10 snacks in Hollywood Studios!
Butterfinger cupcake
This cupcake has been around Hollywood Studios for quite awhile, although it’s gone by a few different names. It used to be at Starring Rolls and then moved over to the Trolley Car Cafe (Starbucks). It’s now called the Peanut Butter Crunch cupcake but it’s the same – a chocolate cupcake with vanilla filling and frosting topped with Butterfinger pieces. Rumor has it they might be removing it soon, but it’s a fan favorite so I hope it holds on.
Lunch box tart
Over at Woody’s Lunchbox in the new Toy Story Land, you can find one snack item – the lunch box tart, which is kind of a fancier, better version of a poptart. This one in my photo was the seasonal apple cinnamon one, but you can normally get chocolate hazelnut or raspberry.
Cheese and Charcuterie Plate at Baseline Taphouse
This might be my favorite thing on this list. Baseline Taphouse is great for beer, but they also have an incredible Cheese and Charcuterie plate. It’s big and surprisingly affordable (currently $10). I ordered this for lunch one day and not only was it filling, it was delicious. You could easily share it as a snack between several people.
The Famous Hollywood Brown Derby Cobb Salad
With Finely Chopped Greens, Turkey Breast, Bacon, Egg, Tomatoes, Crumbled Blue Cheese, Avocado, Chives and Cobb Dressing, this is one of the tastiest salads – you can get it at the Hollywood Brown Derby or the Lounge outside.
Derby Original Grapefruit Cake
Perhaps this is more of a dessert than a snack, but the grapefruit cake at Hollywood Brown Derby (and the lounge) is delicious. It’s got a tart grapefruit flavor that I’m personally a very big fan of.
Totchos
At Woody’s Lunch Box, you’ve got Tater Tot Nachos (Potato Barrels coated with Beef and Bean Chili, Shredded Cheese and signature Queso with Tomatoes and Corn Chips finished with Sour Cream and a sprinkle of Green Onions). Great for a meal, a snack, or sharing with friends. Yum!
Peanut Butter & Jelly Milk Shake – Tune in Lounge
Though this is normally offered at 50’s primetime Cafe, you can actually get it at the Tune In Lounge next door as well if you don’t have a reservation. A delicious, creamy blend of peanut butter and jelly.
Ice Cream Sandwich on Fresh-baked Cookie – Hollywood Scoops
Ice cream is always great. Put it between two fresh baked cookies and it’s better. You can find this and other ice cream options at Hollywood Scoops.
Carrot Cake cookie
This was an extremely popular item when it was at Writer’s Stop, and although that location is now gone the cookie can still be found at Trolley Car Cafe (Starbucks).
Blue Milk at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge
There’s no doubt that there will be lots of fun Star Wars themed snacks when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens. I loved it in Disneyland – it was refreshing like a smoothie. Starting on August 29th you’ll be able to get this in Hollywood Studios too!
