When Jason heard we were taking another Disney cruise, one of the things he was most excited about was the Rainforest Room. We had enjoyed it immensely on the Dream, and he was ready to enjoy it again. I warned him that the one on the Magic wasn’t as big, but we still enjoyed this one as well! It had actually been refurbished and updated just a month before we traveled, so many things were new.
The Rainforest Room is part of Senses Spa and gives you access to a number of saunas, showers, and heated lounge chairs. You can visit it if you book a treatment, but you can also buy a pass for just the Rainforest Room. We paid $148 for a couple’s pass for the length of our 4 night cruise. It also included 4 body scrubs.
Luckily one of the additions included our favorite part of the Rainforest Room on the Dream, the heated tiled lounge chairs. The Magic only had 5 of them, but they were rarely all occupied. I don’t think they sold as many Rainforest Room passes on the Magic as they did on the Dream. These chairs are amazing for just relaxing, reading a book, or even taking a short nap.
There are three different showers with different temperatures and water pressures: Rain Shower, Tropical Thunder, and Cold Fog. I definitely avoided Cold Fog and spent most of my time in Rain Shower, which was warm and wonderful. Jason liked Tropical Thunder, which was a more moderate temperature.
There are also two saunas: a dry one and a mild sauna. The dry one was a little too intense for me, so we spent more time inside the mild sauna. It was here that we rubbed down with the included scrubs, which smelled amazing. I think my favorite was the orange vanilla, but there was also a chocolate peppermint, lavender, and tangerine.
We spent a good amount of time relaxing in the Rainforest Room, so for us it was definitely worth it. I have a feeling we’ll be getting a Rainforest Room pass for every cruise that we’re on in the future!
How does the Rainforest Room sound to you? Would you enjoy something like this?
