Pretty much everything about cruising on the Disney Dream was amazing. But one of the things that was really a highlight of our trip that many other people on the ship didn’t seem to know about was the Rainforest Room, located inside the Senses Spa.
While you probably know that the spa does a number of treatments, they also have this area called the Rainforest Room. It gives you access to a number of saunas, heated and scented showers, heated loungers, and hot tubs. For our 4 night cruise the cost was $99 for a couple’s pass to visit the Rainforest Room an unlimited amount of times. There was also an option for $144 that included body scrubs. We decided to go for the $99 option. You can also get a one day pass. This was listed as $16 per person if you purchased it online ahead of time, but while we were there the sign said a one day pass was $27.
This investment was so worth it for both of us. There is a changing room with showers, lockers, robes, and towels were you can get ready. Once in the Rainforest room there are three saunas – the Laconium, the Caldarium, and the Hammam. There are also about 5 different shower areas that have waters with different sprays, temperatures, and scents. The Rainforest shower with the “warm rain” option was definitely my favorite.
Then in the next room there are about 10 heated lounge chairs. These are beyond amazing. They are made of tile, curved to go with your body, and they’re warm. I could stay in one all day. I want one in my house. I spent most of my time on these chairs, usually reading a book. Once I took an amazing 20 minute nap. My husband, who doesn’t do well at sitting still for too long, preferred the showers and saunas.

I need one of these in my house.
We both also really enjoyed the hot tubs. There are two of them and they face the windows so you’re looking out at sea (or port) while in them. They comfortably hold 2 people (but could potentially do more). It was so relaxing and romantic. It was peaceful and so much nicer than the overcrowded crazy hot tubs up on the pool deck.
I’m not sure how many Rainforest Room passes they sell, but it’s a limited amount so it doesn’t get overcrowded. I never really felt like I had to wait for anything – occasionally the hot tubs were full since they were small and there was only two of them. But there was usually at least one heated lounge chair open, if not more.
I believe this version of the Rainforest Room is only available on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy (the other two ships have their own versions but I hear they are not as big), but I know without a doubt if we sail on either of these two ships again we will definitely be purchasing a Rainforest Room pass. We visited all 4 days of our cruise, usually for about an hour each time. We have so many busy vacations like doing Disney World that having a chance to truly relax was an amazing experience.
Would you enjoy something like the Rainforest Room if you were on a Disney cruise?
