Thoughts on Robin Hood

Last updated July 22, 2015 by Becky 12 Comments

This is part of my series “Thoughts on Disney movies,” where I’ve gone back to watch all of the animated Disney features, starting with Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, and then share my thoughts on the blog. Highlights:  It’s got lots of Disney charm, and it’s funny too.  The “poor people” of Nottingham are […]

Thoughts on the Aristocats

Last updated June 25, 2015 by Becky 4 Comments

Highlights:  I know this isn’t the most popular Disney movie, but it’s one that I really enjoy.  It’s fun, it’s cute, and it’s got a decent plot line.  It’s just a very likeable movie to me.  Take Duchess, our main character.  She is extremely easy going and always happy.  She doesn’t really get super upset about things, […]

Thoughts on The Jungle Book

Last updated June 13, 2015 by Becky 4 Comments

Highlights:  Overall it’s a cute Disney movie, I liked it, but it’s not one of my favorites. There are some fun characters, like Baloo and King Louie, and two really great songs.  I haven’t actually read the stories by Rudyard Kipling, but my understanding is that they are not very similar. Apparently Walt Disney told everyone […]

Thoughts on The Sword in the Stone

Last updated June 9, 2015 by Becky 4 Comments

Highlights:  I’m really into Arthurian legend (my cat is named Merlin), so I have a soft spot for the Sword in the Stone.  It’s a cute movie, and stays very close to the book it’s based on, “The Once and Future King.” Merlin is a great character.  His whimsy and fun is captured perfectly, and he’s […]

A First Timer’s Thoughts on Walt Disney World

Last updated May 13, 2015 by Becky 2 Comments

One of my friends recently went to Disney World for the very first time, as an adult – he had never been as a child.  Going as a adult definitely gives you a different perspective on things, so I was curious to see what he would think of it.  And I thought some of you […]

Thoughts on 101 Dalmatians

Last updated May 11, 2015 by Becky 2 Comments

Highlights:  I may be a cat person rather than a dog person, but those little dalmatian puppies are so cute!  I love that so many of them have their own personalities.  Lucky is adorable:  “my nose is froze.  My toes are froze.”  And Rolly is constantly hungry.  It’s a cute, fun film with a good […]

Thoughts on Sleeping Beauty

Last updated April 9, 2015 by Becky 1 Comment

Highlights:  Prince Phillip is absolutely the man.  Armed with the epic Sword of Truth and Shield of Virtue he not only is able to save Princess Aurora, he absolutely destroys a massively powerful Maleficent-turned-dragon.   The ending of the movie is really well done, I do love the classic romance and waking her up with […]

Thoughts on Lady and the Tramp

Last updated April 9, 2015 by Becky 2 Comments

Highlights:  I always forget how much I really enjoy Lady and the Tramp until I watch it again.  In real life I’m a cat person not a dog person, but the dogs in this movie are just adorable.  The two neighborhood dogs that Lady associates with are pretty funny, too.  It has one of the […]

Thoughts on Peter Pan

Last updated April 9, 2015 by Becky 1 Comment

Highlights:  Overall it is a really excellent movie.  I find it to be quite enjoyable, funny, and emotionally touching.  One of the nice things about this movie is that it keeps a good pace.  They go on lots of adventures but it doesn’t feel too rushed, and it never really drags at all. Low points: The […]

Thoughts on Alice in Wonderland

Last updated April 9, 2015 by Becky 4 Comments

Highlights:  The series of nonsensical adventures that Alice goes through are cute and captivating.  There is a lot of silliness going on here, making it a pretty funny movie. Low points:  Well, this was a highlight too, but the movie is just silly. There’s no real consistent plot to it, and sometimes it just gets a little […]

About Me

Hi, I'm Becky!

I'm a huge Disney fan in my early 30's and always trying to find a way to put a little bit of Disney into everyday life. I live in Pennsylvania but travel to the theme parks several times a year - I'm an annual passholder at Disney World! In addition to Disney I love traveling, running, and theater.
