Today I want to talk about one of my favorite runner’s headbands out there: Bondi Band! It’s a thicker sort of headband that does a great job at keeping both sweat and hair out of your eyes and face. They sent me an item for review and I have to say, I’m thrilled with it.
They have a ton of styles of their website – all different colors, some with sparkles or bling, some with sayings, and some with designs or patterns. Some of the ones that you can find which are Disney related include tiaras, a Cinderella-esque bow (that’s the one that I got), or a rhinestone Mickey Mouse. Plus, if you go to their booth at one of the Run Disney expos, they often have more Disney specific items available there. In terms of the looks of this headband, I think they’re great. It’s a wonderful way to add some fun to a costume or even just a race outfit.
I wore mine to the Hershey 10k that I just ran on Sunday. It’s super comfortable and does a great job at what it’s supposed to do – keeping hair and sweat away. I have really thick hair which can sometimes be a problem, but it didn’t bother me at all during this race. However, one of the things I love about Bondi Band is the fact that it is thicker than many other headbands out there. For me, this is a huge bonus because I can pull it down to cover my ears if it’s cold out. During my race I was shivering before I started and in the beginning cold wind was whipping my ears, which are super sensitive. I was able to pull by Bondi Band down over them. Once the day warmed up and I warmed up, I could push it back a little bit and just use it as a normal headband. Awesome bonus!
Plus, Bondi Bands are pretty affordable. They generally range from $9-15, though you can get certain items in the bargain bin section of their website for about $5. Plus, in addition to the headbands, they offer a variety of other items as well. If hats or thinner headbands (skinnybands) are more your thing, they have that too. They also have compression socks, arm sleeves, fleece, and more.
All in all I can’t recommend Bondi Band enough, and I know I’ll be wearing them for many future races! Can’t wait to get a wide variety of colors and styles 🙂
