It has now officially been a year since I’ve been doing the Disney mug of the month segments. I started it last April when I got my Zootopia mug. That means you’ve now seen a dozen of the mugs from my Disney mug collection – and plenty more will be coming! I don’t see this series ending anytime soon 😉
This month I am featuring the 2017 Walt Disney World mug which I got from my Themepark Monthly subscription box! The 2017 merchandise this year is a really beautiful design, and this mug features a lot of it. On the front is Sorcerer Mickey’s silhouette. The inside is filled in with a cool looking background that kinda looks like the night sky, with some additional Mickey heads. I think it’s really unique and different than a lot of the other logos they’ve done in the past.
The back has a beautiful design on it as well. It has the quote from Cinderella “A dream is a wish your heart makes.” It’s written in a very cool font and has sketch-style designs that represent various park icons. You’ve got the castle, tree of life, Tower of Terror, etc. It’s really beautiful and all set on the teal background of the mug.
What’s in my cup: Plum Deluxe tea! I recently got a shipment of their looseleaf tea and it’s absolutely delicious. I have to say, the difference between really good looseleaf tea and a teabag is super obvious once you’ve tried it. It feels almost decadent to be drinking something this good. I enjoyed all of the flavors they sent me, but I’m particularly into “Gratitude Blend,” which is a strawberry flavored Earl Grey. Earl Grey is my favorite type of tea and the strawberry just makes it more unique and delicious.
What I’m reading: I’ve really been on a Sherlock Holmes kick recently. We have a board game that I’m obsessed with called Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective. You take on the role of trying to solve a Sherlock Holmes style case, and I’m pretty addicted to it. Since I’ve gotten so into the game I both started watching the BBC TV show and reading the stories. I read all of A Study in Scarlet and now am almost done with this selection of Sherlock Holmes adventures. Overall I’m really enjoying the stories. They can occasionally get a little repetitive/routine in the format, but I enjoy the mysteries.
What’s in your cup right now? And what are you reading?
Love your mug! That is a really cute one!
Thanks, I really love this design!
Super cute mug!
Thank you!
What a cute mug! I’m currently reading “The Weekenders”.
How is it? I’ve heard pretty good things.
