As some of you may know from reading my other posts about running, having a way to carry my stuff while I run is super important to me. I want to be comfortable but also have what I need! So I’ve been trying out some different types of belts and whatnot, and today I want to share with you an awesome product called RooSport.
A RooSport is basically a small pouch or pocket that you can attach to your waist and carry small items in. I love the name (obviously from the Kangaroo’s pouch!). It doesn’t have any sort of belt or anything that you have to strap around your waist, though – instead, the pouch itself has small but powerful magnets that you can attach right onto your shorts. It’s small but a good size to hold the essentials you might need while you’re running.
At first I was a little nervous about using the RooSport, because it was so different – I was afraid it would come off! But my fears were for nought, because those magnets are strong and very secure. It hasn’t come off during a run yet, and I’ve never felt like it was slipping or anything at all. I have to say that it is really comfortable. If having a belt or something around your waist bothers you, I think you’ll love a RooSport. Another advantage is that you can put the pocket anywhere you like around your waist. If you want it right in front of you, a little to the right, all the way to the right, to the left – whatever! It stays wherever you put it.
So let’s talk about the pocket itself and what it holds. The RooSport actually has two pockets – one is a zippered pocket and the other is a pocket open at the top. I really love the fact that it has an open top pocket. It’s the perfect size for your phone, and since it’s not zippered it’s easy to get your phone in and out. This is great for me because I love to check my phone often when I run so I can see how far I’ve gone and my pace. With the RooSport it’s not too much of a hassle to pull my phone out.
The smaller, zippered pocket is perfect for essentials – your ID, a couple of keys. If you’re a bit of a minimalist I think the RooSport is just what you need. I really like it for my shorter runs. With longer runs I like to bring more stuff than might fit in the pouch – some energy bars and stuff – but for practices and races of 5k or shorter I think RooSport is my new go-to! I often just carry my phone in my hand since I check it so much, so I could always use the bigger pouch for energy bars and just hold my phone too, so I could use it on my longer runs. I highly recommend you check it out now!
But here’s the best part – we have THREE RooSports to give away to Disney in your Day readers. That’s right, three! All you have to do to enter is click the link below for our Rafflecopter form. Giveaway will end Friday, June 6th at midnight.

I usually hold everything in my hands which is no fun at all. 🙁
I use a heavy runners belt so this would be nice to have.
For short runs, I just use pockets. For long runs, I have a Nathan running vest.
Coming from someone who NEVER has pockets in her clothing, this is awesome!
