Gifts from Mickey: Disney mug subscription box

March 15, 2017 by Becky 4 Comments

I was provided a free box for review from Gifts from Mickey.  All opinions are entirely my own.

There are many things I enjoy in life.  Sometimes it’s the little things.  Disney mugs make me very happy.  I have many of them – some may say too many.  But a good cup of coffee in a Disney mug is certainly the best way to start the day for me.  And Gifts from Mickey has a subscription box that’s right up my alley.  Their mug subscription sends you a Disney mug and a Disney coffee every month.

Now, one of the really neat things about what Gifts from Mickey does is that they aren’t just sending you any Disney mug.  They know that lots of mugs are available at the Disney Store and even now from the Disney Shop Parks app.  So they try to find a unique mug that you can’t get at home without actually visiting Disney World.  They choose things that are from the parks but aren’t available from the apps.  I love that they really go the extra mile with this.

One collection that you won’t find any way to get without the app is the Starbucks “You are Here” mugs.  These mugs are made for a variety of places around the world (not just Disney World!). Each of the Disney theme park locations has their own design, which is particularly special.  Hollywood Studios just came out with a new one since their previous version had the now-removed Sorcerer’s Hat on it, and this is what I received!

The version of the Hollywood Studios mug features Mickey fighting the dragon from Fantasmic as one of the biggest icons, as well as Tower of Terror on the other side.  I love the style of all the You Are Here mugs and this one is no exception.  If I didn’t already collect Disney mugs I’d probably collect Starbucks mugs from every place I visit – but that would be too many mugs!  I like the simple style of it and the colors that they used.  It involves the three primary colors but vibrant shades of each of them.

The coffee that was included in this box was a bag of Kona coffee from the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian resort.  If you read my Kona Cafe breakfast review you know I’m a big fan of that coffee!  It’s a rich, flavorful, and fantastic coffee.  Joffrey’s makes the Disney coffees and they now have them available for purchase.  It’s wonderful to be able to drink some of this delicious Kona coffee at home now.  Definitely reminds me of Disney.

If you’re like me and you love Disney mugs and coffee, I don’t think you can go wrong with the Coffee Lover’s box by Gifts from Mickey.  It’s $45/month which I think is a great deal.  The mugs are exclusive to the parks so if you’re not local you get the benefit of that, plus it’s a fun surprise!  And the Joffrey’s coffees are pretty pricey on their own too, so all in all it’s a good deal and a really fun Disney subscription box.

What kind of Disney mug or coffee would you want to receive in a Disney subscription box?

I gave up coffee for lent, and I miss using all of my mugs. I love the Disney’s Hollywood Studios mug you received! The color scheme is gorgeous and I love how it ties in Fantasia!

That coffee sounds really good! I love that this is a Disney mug because I definitely wouldn’t have thought it was at first.

I can’t really justify the cost, but it really is a good deal. If I ever want a splurge, I might consider it 🙂
