When I found out that the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival 2017 was starting early this year and would be happening during our trip, I had one objective – get something at every food booth in the passport. Well, this year there were 39 stops to make. But we had 7 days (ended up with 6 after leaving a day early due to Hurricane Irma). And I had Jason, who likes to eat. A lot.
And with sheer determination, I am happy to say we achieved our goal! We tried at least one item from every booth in Epcot, and sometimes more than one. There were some amazingly delicious things, and a few items that I wouldn’t get again. I’m excited to share them all with you, but because there were so many it’s too much to share in one post! So I’ve decided I’ll break up our Food and Wine adventures into 4 blog posts – 10 booths in each post.
There is also a lot more to the Food and Wine Festival than just the food booths, though they were our main focus. They have lots of adorable merchandise (most of my purchases this trip were Food and Wine related!). They also have events you can pay for – everything from cooking demonstrations to large meals with drink pairings. We didn’t participate in any of those this time around as we already had so much to do!
They also have the Eat to the Beat concert series, which are free concerts. They are usually by bands which aren’t super famous (anymore) but you’ve heard of them. A lot of one hit wonders, but live music is so great and when it’s free it’s a win-win! There are actually some really awesome performers who come out. We caught a performance by Starship, who has the well known song “We Built This City.” Which I love because it’s on The Muppets soundtrack. But if only I were there at the end of October to see Hanson!
But back to the highlight of the festival, the booths! Here is how I’ll break them down and links to the posted reviews:
So stay tuned for lots of tasty food reviews soon!
Which part of the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival 2017 sounds most appealing to you?
This festival is SO on my bucket list. I have heard so much about it, so now I want to plan a trip in the next several years.
It’s definitely one of the best events at Disney of the year!
I’d definitely love to attend this! It’s awesome that you can try foods from all over all in one place, essentially! Can’t wait to see your reviews!
Yes, it’s the perfect place to be able to sample a little of everything!
This sounds like a great experience. If I could only go tone group I would probably pick Group two.
There were definitely some tasty items in group 2, but it’s hard to choose – that’s why we had to hit everything!
This is one of those Disney events I’ve ALWAYS wanted to go to! Sooo fun!
It really is a blast – I hope you get the chance to experience it someday!
