I usually try to post the news in the first few days of the month, but time got away from me a little bit! I was away at Disney for Princess race weekend until March 3rd, and then immediately jumped into a ton of work. But it’s not too late to share what’s been going on!
Also, our March tournament is happening and the first round is up – make sure to vote for your favorite Muppet!

- The official trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu movie, coming out in May, is now available!
- Disneyland is getting rid of its park hopping restriction, and allowing you to park hop any time you want (you previously had to wait until after 11am to park hop).
- CrazyShake, which makes over-the-top milkshakes, is opening a pop-up location for a limited time in Disney Springs.
- The Garden View Tea Lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian resort will reopen as a completely new experience on March 19th.
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith officially closed on March 1st. It is set to reopen sometime this summer with new Muppets themeing.

Disney rumors
Magic Kingdom // Although Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was stated to be opening “Spring 2026,” the lack of any announcement makes it seem likely this may be delayed again. Disney also filed a new permit to extend the construction until the end of August.
Magic Kingdom // Len Testa, who operates the website Touring Plans, stated that he heard Villains Land was being completely reworked and the current ideas “scrapped.” It sounds like the truth might be somewhere in the middle – many of the original concepts are changing and evolving, but not getting scrapped completely.
Lightning Lanes // As new attractions open at Disney World, there is some speculation about how they will fit into the Lightning Lane system. At least for this year, I think many of the attractions are re-themes or updates, and I expect them to stay where they were previously. But once brand new rides start opening, like Encanto and Indiana Jones in Animal Kingdom next year, it will be interesting to see where they end up (and how other rides might be affected!).
