Disney mug of the month: WDW Marathon 2020

January 30, 2020 by Becky 5 Comments

Did anyone expect me to go run the Dopey Challenge and not come back with a mug to honor the occasion? To be honest, I wasn’t sure if I would get one. In past RunDisney expos they don’t always have a great mug. I’ve never loved the designs, and they seem to have more travel mugs available than regular mugs.

However, when I was this one at the expo I was thrilled because it was great! The front of the mug has the marathon weekend logo on it – that’s Mickey, Minie, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy all running. While you can’t tell from the photo, it’s actually a raised and textured design. The inside of the cup is a lighter blue and has the phrase “I run the world” in it.

The back of this mug is pretty great too! It lists all of the races during race weekend, including the Goofy Challenge and the Dopey Challenge. Since I did all of them that makes this mug even more perfect for me! A good way to remember not just the marathon, but the whole race weekend.

What’s in my mug: You can see it in the background of some of the photos above – I’ve got a delicious blueberry cobbler coffee from Expedition Roasters! This is actually part of their Harry Potter inspired line. As a Ravenclaw and a blueberry lover I knew I had to get this, but they also have a “cunning caramel” one for Slytherin, “charming chocolate cherry” for Gryffindor, and “Bighearted Butterscotch” for Hufflepuff.

What I’m currently reading: I’m currently finishing up the audiobook of The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise. It’s a middle grade novel but it’s one of those that adults can definitely connect to. Coyote and her dad have been living a nomad lifestyle, driving around the country on a school bus ever since her mom and two sisters passed away in an accident. It deals with some tough topics but it’s also quirky and fun, and Coyote is a really cool character. It’s one of those books with a lot of quotes that I want to write down and save, because they way it talks about things is just so relatable.

What mug are you using right now? And what are you reading?

Aww thanks Stephanie! I’m thinking that butterscotch coffee will be in my next order, it sounds so good (even for this Ravenclaw!)
