Disney mug of the month: the Backside of coffee

One of the mugs I’ve been using this month is a fun one that does not come officially from Disney – instead it is from my favorite coffee company, Expedition Roasters. I’ve been drinking their Disney inspired coffee for years, and recently they’ve introduced a few mugs.

This one has actually been sold out on their site for a bit, but I managed to get it when I bought their “Lost Crate,” a special order that they did packed full of goodies. I’ll be sharing a full review of that box on the blog soon, but I would love it if they did something like this maybe quarterly like a subscription box! I’d definitely be in for that.

The mug features a play on one of the most famous lines from The Jungle Cruise. Instead of the “backside of water,” it says “Here it is, ladies and gentleman – the backside of coffee!” The other side of the mug has their Expedition Roasters logo.

It’s a small tin mug, which is neat and makes it different from a lot of other mugs I have. Because it’s tin it’s a little more sensitive to temperature, so the mug can get a little hot when I first pour the coffee in. It’s also fairly small (holds about 8 ounces of coffee) so depending on the day I usually have 2 cups when I use this mug!

What’s in my mug: I got an exclusive coffee from Expedition Roasters as part of my Lost Safari Crate. It’s a cookies and cream coffee and it’s really good. It smells wonderful, but it’s not overpoweringly sweet.

What I’m currently reading: It seemed like the best book to go with this mug is Skipper Stories! I got this as a gift awhile ago but hadn’t gotten around to reading any of it yet. It’s a collection of stories from Disney cast members who worked as skippers on The Jungle Cruise. I thought it was just going to be silly stories, but there’s also a lot of great information about how the attraction works and the passion that the skippers have for their ride. I’m really enjoying it so far.

You can also get 15% off your first Expedition Roasters order with my referral link!

What mug are you using right now? And what are you currently reading?
