A little humor and fun is a good way to lighten the mood right now, right? And one thing that just might bring a smile to your face is those seagulls from Finding Nemo. The ones who are continually sitting there going “Mine! Mine! Mine!” It’s a silly little gag in the movie but it cracked us up the first time we watched it, and has become a familiar joke with Disney fans.
Those seagulls are popular enough that they even have some of their own merchandise! I’ve seen some items over at The Seas with Nemo and Friends in Epcot, and I actually got this mug in a subscription box (and any subscription box that sends me a mug is a win in my book!).
One of the things I really appreciate about this mug is that there are lots of little details and seagulls everywhere. Of course they’re all around the outside of the mug, but I love that they are up and down the handle as well. And when you finish your coffee, there’s a surprise – a seagull at the bottom of the mug!
What’s in my mug: I’ve got some “Hobo Ed” coffee from Steel City Coffeehouse! This is a local place and I’m often there on Sunday mornings normally, as I have a running group which goes for a run and then gets breakfast/coffee here. It’s been hard not having these regular meetings, but they are doing limited takeout on the weekends including bagged coffee so I picked up a few to still have some of that local coffee at home!
What I’m currently reading: I’m actually reading a few things right now – I’m reading through a book for work to plan a middle school book discussion, and I’m listening to an audiobook. But my physical “for fun” book I’m reading right now is Train Smart: Run Forever. I want to learn more about running and doing what’s right for my body, and I’d heard good things about this one. I will say that I didn’t realize it’s kind of targeted at an older crowd. Much of the way it’s written is for those 50+ who can’t run the way they used to and have to adapt/deal with that. I think there’s a lot of great information in it anyway and it’s never too early to start applying lifelong running skills, but at age 32 I find the tone doesn’t feel like it’s quite directed to me personally.
What mug are you using right now? And what are you currently reading?
Love the mug! And it’s great you’re supporting your local coffee shop.
That mug is SERIOUSLY cute. I am really into running so that book sounds interesting, but I guess I wouldn’t necessarily be the target audience either…do you think its still worth a read?
What a cute mug! I would love to drink coffee out of this bad boy!

cute & little
It’s super fun when you get to the bottom, haha!
I love that mug! Such cute details. I’m not in the 50+ category (yet) but this books sounds really interesting to me.
In high school, one of my best friends used to constantly quote the “Mine! Mine! Mine!” scene, and now you’re making me think I need to get him this mug as a joke for his birthday haha! I love it. And while that book might not be relatable when it comes to your age, I’m glad you’re still finding it helpful!
Aww that mug is too cute! I like the surprise seagull at the bottom. I’ve just been using random mugs that I find in my parent’s house haha. I’m currently reading Where The Crawdads Sing and listening to The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo on audiobook!

I love listening to audiobooks! And I have a large Disney mug collection so I’ve been rotating them out weekly now that I’m home so much more.
Your mug is too cute! I have been so busy with work, that I have not had any time to read a single thing.
