Disney mug of the month – Frozen 2 Be Brave

Call it overrated if you want, but I still love Frozen and Frozen 2. Especially this time of year it just seems very appropriate given the fact that it’s winter and probably will be snowing soon (I actually hate snow, so thanks a lot Elsa!). So tis the season to be using my Frozen 2 travel mug!

I’ve mentioned before that I love overt and fun Disney mugs, but I also like ones that are more subtle or creative – it’s easy to stick the Frozen logo on a mug or a picture of Anna, Elsa, or Olaf. This one is definitely more unique, and so subtle I’d guess most people may not even realize it’s Frozen related. It definitely spoke to me though, given the theme.

It has the words “Be Brave” on it and the silhouette of Elsa standing at the edge of the water. I absolutely loved the character exploration in Frozen 2 and the journeys that both Elsa and Anna went on. Elsa is trying to convince herself that she’s content with the life she has, but it’s clear that there’s something else she needs to explore to truly find herself and be happy. It would probably be easier to sit back in Arandelle with her family, but instead Elsa chooses to “Be Brave” and go out into the unknown (yup) to truly find happiness and where she is meant to be.

The rest of the mug is also simple but with some cool styling. It has a black and white geometric pattern of triangles. There’s also the section where the main design is which is mostly a white background with some small black dots around – not sure if this was the intention but it seems to me at least that it’s supposed to look like snowflakes!

I’ve been using this mug to bring my coffee to work in the mornings, and one thing I really appreciate is the quality of the Tervis travel mugs. They advertise that they keep beverages hot for up to 8 hours, and while I haven’t had my coffee last quite that long it legitimately is still hot from about 8am until noon. If I have to use another travel mug in the morning now I’m kind of bummed because I know it won’t work as well!

What’s in my mug: I’m still working through my Disney World 50th anniversary coffee stash that I got from Joffrey’s. I really like the coffee, it’s got great flavor. Since it’s that time of year I’m adding some peppermint mocha creamer to my coffee for a little extra Christmas spirit in the mornings!

What I’m currently reading: I’m going through a number of audiobooks and other books right now, but my current listen is called The Santa Suit by Mary Kay Andrews. It’s pretty cheesy and there are parts that I’m literally groaning at, but it’s just one of those light, fun novels with a Christmas twist. It feels like a good choice right now because I’m getting into the spirit of the season and I don’t want anything too serious right now! I’m about halfway through and I also appreciate that it’s not super heavy on the romance aspect (at least not yet). There are a lot of other interesting things happening aside from the attractive real estate agent/handyman/neighbor who keeps showing up at least!

What mug are you using right now? And what are you currently reading?
