Disney mug of the month: Animal Kingdom Lodge DVC

January 14, 2019 by Becky 8 Comments

I’ve mentioned it on the blog in some of my update posts, but a few months ago my husband and I did a very exciting thing – we bought DVC! We purchased a contract at Animal Kingdom Lodge resale, which is honestly my favorite resort at Disney.  And just yesterday I made my very first reservation using my points! We are getting a 1 bedroom suite at Animal Kingdom Lodge the first week of December and taking my parents, who haven’t been to Disney with us since 2013.  I’m excited for this family trip!

In honor of our new DVC membership, my wonderful friend got Jason and I new Disney mugs as a gift! Let’s just say these mugs are pretty much perfect. They have the Animal Kingdom villas logo on the front along with two giraffes (my favorite animal).

On the back is the Disney Vacation Club logo with a picture of Mickey, and it says “Disney Vacation Club member.” Which is exciting because we are officially members now! But it gets even better, because they’re personalized too. Becky and Jason are printed on the mugs, so they make a really cute set together.

What’s in my mug: Since I was running low on coffee, I purchased a few new flavors during the Joffrey’s Black Friday sale. With this mug it seems fitting that I’m drinking the “Artifact” coffee, since that is the one of the coffees served at Tiffins in Animal Kingdom.

What I’m currently reading:  I’ve started reading a book called Saving Cinderella by Faith Moore, which is a nonfiction book that takes a look at the Disney Princesses are argues why they are good role models – against what some of the current feminists have been saying. I love this idea, and actually this topic is a blog post I’ve had mulling around in my brain for quite awhile.  I’m only a few chapters in but I’m really enjoying what she has to say so far, and her opinions on Snow White and Cinderella are much better than what some of the “anti-original princess” people have to say.

What’s in your mug? And what are you currently reading?

Hi, I'm Becky!

I'm a huge Disney fan in my early 30's and always trying to find a way to put a little bit of Disney into everyday life.
