Recently I had a wonderful friend of mine pick up a Magic Kingdom Starbucks mug for me to gift to someone. She mentioned to me that Starbucks also had a special Christmas mug out… and the next thing you know, I’m getting a gift for myself, too! I’m lucky to have good friends who will help feed my Disney obsession 😉
The holiday Starbucks mug is adorable. It has a gingerbread castle on it. It looks just like Cinderella castle, but made out of gingerbread and with icing for snow. There are some fun red and green details to make it look extra Christmas-y. I also like the subtle snowflake design going on in the background of this white mug. And of course there’s the Starbucks logo on the back. And the mug itself is one of those taller mugs, so it’s nice to switch it up and keep my collection looking interesting!
What’s in my cup: I’m normally a coffee drinker, but December is definitely the month for hot chocolate! I’m not going to do it all the time, but I was impressed at how easy it was to make my own hot chocolate in the slow cooker using this recipe. And it tastes so much more rich than the packets!
What I’m currently reading: I got this absolutely lovely book gifted to me called Snow and Rose, by Emily Winfield Martin. I think I’ve mentioned before that I’m in a program called “Pixie Dust Pals,” which is basically like a year-long secret santa where you send someone a gift every month but don’t reveal your identity until the end. Clearly my pal this round knows me pretty well, because I love books and especially fairy tale retellings. This is a retelling of a lesser known fairy tale called “Snow White and Rose Red” (not to be confused with Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs). I’m about 1/3 of the way through and it’s very sweet so far. And the illustrations are gorgeous.
What’s in your cup right now? And what are you currently reading?
When I was a child, I loved the story of Snow White and Rose Red.
This book is beautiful with the illustrations and all – I really enjoyed it!
I’m always looking for good book suggestions! This one looks cute!
I’m a librarian, so I have lots of book suggestions!
That is the cutest mug! I would love to collect fun mugs but I have nowhere to store them.
My dad actually built me a beautiful mug shelf to hang in my kitchen above the window. I’m going to try to get some good photos of it and share it on the blog!
I love that you bought a Christmas gift for yourself! I’ve said that about at least 5 things I bought myself recently!
Haha I couldn’t resist! Too much of my Christmas shopping goes “one for you, one for me”…
That’s such a pretty mug! I love Starbucks and I love their selection of mugs! They have a great one in my opinion. Thank you for sharing!
I love the Starbucks mugs. I always want to buy the location mugs in places other than Disney, but with my collection of Disney mugs I don’t need to get any more mugs haha!
Um, Pixie Dust Pals sounds amazing. Can new people join? I love giving cheer to people!! The book sounds great, and what a cute mug! I LOVE mugs and all things Disney of course.

I’ve thought about starting a similar program for my blog readers… I know it would be a lot of work to keep everything organized, make sure gifts are actually sent out, etc., but perhaps with a few volunteers I could start a facebook group!
That would be awesome! Let me know if you need help.

Thanks Lauren! I will definitely keep you updated if I decide to pull the trigger on that!
This mug is SO CUTE!!! I have a million mugs!
Me too, I have so many mugs!
I am interested in Pixie Dust Pals! How do we join? That sounds awesome!
I don’t know if they are taking any new people but I’ll check! I love it and have thought about maybe organizing a similar thing for my blog readers but I know it would be a lot to keep track of.
