We’re getting into the fall season over here, even though it’s mid September and we still have a heat advisory in Pennsylvania. Nevertheless, I know fall weather will soon be upon us. Pumpkin spice is everywhere, Halloween decorations are going up, so despite the fact that fall technically doesn’t begin for another week or so, I know the start of school really feels like the start of the fall season. And for some reason, the fall gets me in the mood to drink tea!
I managed to pick up this mug a couple of years ago at Hallmark. I love the style of all their Disney stuff. This mug has Mrs. Potts and Chip on it with the quote from Be Our Guest: “We’ve got a lot to do! Is it one lump or two?” And inside there’s even a little writing that says “For you, our guest!” Because of that I love to use this mug when guests come to visit and want a cup of tea (usually my mom).
What’s in my cup: Obviously with a mug like this I have to be drinking tea! One of my blogging friends, Nichole from CuppaGeek, was kind enough to send me a small care package including some teas for me to try! One of them was a creme brulee black tea. It smells amazing and tastes just as good. I’m sure Mrs. Potts would approve!
What I’m reading: I just finished another Disney book for my Disney book club. It’s called Poor Unfortunate Soul and it’s from a series of books about the villains telling the stories from their perspective – this one was obviously about Ursula. I was excited to read it because I enjoyed the previous books in the series (The Beast Within about the Beast from Beauty and the Beast and Fairest of All about the Evil Queen from Snow White). It makes me sad to say but I was not digging this book. It focused very little on Ursula herself and much moreso on a side story that I really didn’t care about. I’ll be posting a full review of the book eventually, but for now I’d say if the villain perspective intrigues you, read the other two books in the series but pass on this one.
What’s in your cup? And what are you reading this month?
Such a cute mug! That tea sounds amazing too. Too bad about the book, but I’d like to give one of the other ones a try.
I think too if you read them in order you might enjoy the Ursula one a little more – I read them as they came out and didn’t remember a lot about the previous books which was a bit frustrating!
I love this one it is very cute! I am obsessed with mugs. I have a couple of Disney ones. The tea sounds yumm.
Thanks! I can never have too many mugs!
Maybe since the live action will be out soon, I’m on a total Beauty and the Beast kick, this is such a cute mug!
I’m pretty much always on a Beauty and the Beast kick – but I’m excited for when the live action gets closer because I bet they’ll be releasing a ton of cute merchandise!
I love Beauty and the Beast, and this one is adorable! Bummed to hear the Ursula book wasn’t great, I have this series on my to read list!
Some people in my book club did enjoy it, it just wasn’t what I was expecting. I’m going to put my review up in the next few weeks and found some more interesting info on the author’s website about the series and where it’s going. I think if you read them in order (and close enough together that you remember what happened, unlike me!) it will make a lot more sense! This third book brought up a lot of stuff from the first two books that I didn’t really remember much of.
Oh how I love that mug and I’m so glad you are enjoying the goodies!!
Yes, thank you again! I’ve got a package ready to go to you too, just gotta stop at the post office!
This is so cute! I can’t wait until the Beauty and the Beast live action movie comes out!
Me neither, I’m very excited for it! I think Emma Watson will be perfect!
What a cute mug! I love Beauty & the Beast!
Thanks Rachel, me too!
That mug is adorable! And that song is one of my favorite Disney songs. 🙂 Too bad the Ursula book wasn’t the best thing. I usually love all things The Little Mermaid so I’m always disappointed when something doesn’t live up to expectations.
I know what you mean – some people in my book club did enjoy the Ursula book so it might be good for some people. It just had a different feel than the other books in the series so wasn’t really what I was expecting!
What a sweet mug! I love Mrs. Potts!
I do too! In fact I just watched Beauty and the Beast again tonight 🙂
I will expect this mug the next time I visit!
