So when I was in Disney last month, guess what I bought? If you said a mug, you’d be correct! I somehow limited myself to one mug. There are some cute Halloween mugs, but I definitely loved the Food and Wine merchandise more. So of course that was my mug of choice!
There were actually two mugs I liked there – one with a more artistic vibe to it – script style font and the sketch version of Remy they were using on lots of the logos this year. I really couldn’t decide between that one and the one I got, so I let Jason pick. He favored this one, with the Epcot slogan “Taste your Way Around the World.”
I’m glad he went with this one because I really like it. The colors are great. It’s a dark blue with a wonderful shade of orange. Orange is my favorite color. One said says “Taste your way Around the World” while the other side says “Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.” It has little “stamps” for each country lightly in the background. But perhaps the coolest part of the mug is the inside of the rim, which has the skyline of the World Showcase in white.
What’s in my cup: It’s finally fall, which means pumpkin and apples and all yummy fall things! I do love the flavors of fall, and I’m happy to be able to enjoy a pumpkin spice coffee. I’m currently drinking the Pumpkin King from Trader Sam’s Coffee, and I have to tell you that I think it’s probably the best pumpkin spice coffee I’ve ever had. It’s full of spices and flavor and works really well. It’s only available for a limited time so I seriously suggest you pick some up today!
What I’m currently reading: I apologize for the profanity in the title, but The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is so far probably one of the best “self-help” books I’ve read. It’s a refreshing, different look at how to take on life. I’m about 3 chapters in, but so far the gist seems to be that our society has created an atmosphere where we feel pressure to be happy all the time. We are bombarded with social media and expectations that we should excel at everything and always be happy, and that’s actually pretty detrimental to your well being. Contrary to what the title might imply, the main idea isn’t to not care about anything, but to focus only on the things that are most important in your life and not give a darn about anything else. I’m really loving the philosophy of this approach to living a better life, and I’m hoping the book will get into some ways that you can actually put it into action. So while you can tell yourself not to care about some of the silly, superficial things in life, it’s much more difficult to actually do it in practice.
What’s in your cup right now? And what are you currently reading?
Because I’m super fun, my cup currently has water in it ?. Love the skyline in your cup!! What a fun idea. I have another friend reading that book, too.
Water is good too – gotta stay hydrated!
Should I tell daddy to start working on another shelf for your mugs? I will be curious to hear more about the book. So many self help books tell you what you need to do but not how, as you said.
I’ll put my review on GoodReads once I’m done with it!
Love that mug! I also have a mug collection, so I can totally relate on the need/desire to buy more and more mugs! But it’s so worth it.
Haha I agree! Mugs are so fun 🙂
This book sounds great and I’ve seen it around. I must pick up a copy!
You should, it’s a really interesting read!
I’ve been drinking pumpkin coffee lately, too! That mug is so cute. I’m a lover of mugs, so I’m constantly collecting them!
Pumpkin coffee is just so good, and I can’t resist now that it’s fall! Even if it is still 80 degrees here in Pennsylvania.
SO glad to hear that book is fabulous…I have it on my list to read next! Time it comes off the coffee table…!
Coming Up Roses
I hope you read it and then blog about it – I’d love to hear your thoughts!
