Mugs, mugs, mugs! Have I mentioned I love them? The only reason why Jason is okay with me continuing to buy them is because my dad is making me a shelf so I can store and display them all. Jason is just sick of them taking up so much cabinet space. And counter space since we ran out of cabinet space. I’m excited to put them on display!
I visited Disneyland for the second time in my life last month. I was first there in September 2015, and shockingly I did not purchase a mug while I was there. So of course I had to rectify that this time around.
I wanted a Disneyland specific mug, and not one that I could also find in Florida. There were a couple that I saw, but none that I really fell in love with until I saw this one. It’s so cute! It represents a lot of the different rides and attractions, as well as featuring classic Disney characters. On one side you’ve got Minnie riding the teacups and Donald on the Haunted Mansion (with a hitchhiking ghost!).
The other side has Goofy on the Matterhorn and Mickey and Pluto riding in a car (I assume on the Autopia?). It has a lot going on without being overwhelming, which I like. Plus the inside of the mug is really pretty too. I like the light blue color and the castle design up at the very top.
What’s in my cup: I’m still working on my Trader Sam’s coffee. I bought a chocolate flavored creamer so I’ve been enjoying that with both the Skipper’s Brew (tastes like a chocolate covered banana!) and the Prospector’s Roast (that one is hazelnut, so it’s a bit like a nutella taste to it).
What I’m currently reading: Yet another book from BookExpo, I’m now working my way through a novel called Running Full Tilt. I’m enjoying it so far. It’s a YA novel about a boy in high school whose older brother has autism and other disabilities, so he starts running as a coping mechanism. As a runner I really like the way that it describes running and how it can make you feel better, and get away from things for a little while. Though I strongly suspect the book is going to take an even more depressing turn, as the back cover says “When a family trauma interrupts the precarious calm, Leo has to hold it all together. He can’t run away this time.” So maybe I should have some tissues handy as I continue with this one.
What’s in your cup? And what are you currently reading?
This is a cute one, I am currently drinking bulletproof coffee and reading the She Reads Truth Devotional.
I’ve heard things about bulletproof coffee! Do you like it?
I have an entire cabinet full of tea, but at work every morning I go with Tetley British Blend. Currently reading “Man of Legends” by Kenneth C Johnson. It was a Kindle freebie and I’m really enjoying it. It goes back and forth from the perspective of about ten people and has a time travel element to it.
That’s great when a freebie turns out to be good! I’ve had a couple that were duds and I couldn’t finish them.
I don’t even drink hot drinks and I have a small mug collection. Currently they’re on my desk holding my pens. When I had my own kitchen they were on the shelf above my sink as decoration. So I can understand having too many!
See, no one can resist the mugs!!
I love mugs! I need someone to build me a shelf. lol! Book sounds interesting. I’m curious how it ends up.
I know, we talked about buying a shelf but couldn’t find anything the perfect size or design, so I was very thankful when my dad agreed to make one! He loves woodworking as a hobby but doesn’t get a ton of time to do it with his regular job, so I’m glad he’s working on this for me.
I love how cocoa and have a few favorite mugs that I keep in our cabinets. I love that your Dad is building you a shelf though to display these! Have you ever done a post on all of your Disney related collections?
You know I haven’t done much about my collections, and I really should! I have a few more Disney collections than I probably should 😉 It might be a big project to photograph everything, but I think it would make for some really fun blog posts!
