Breakfast can be a great time to enjoy some of the wonderful food that Disney has to offer. Many breakfasts are character meals, in which Disney characters come around to your table while you dine, but there are plenty without characters as well. A breakfast is a good way to get an early start to your day and still have the rest of the day in front of you for when the theme parks open. If you’re looking for a good breakfast in Disney World (and all of these are good values on the dining plan too!), then check out some of my favorites.
Topolino’s Terrace
This is a character meal with Mickey and Friends, but it also has probably the best breakfast I’ve experienced on Disney property in terms of food as well. The quiche was incredible, the characters are fun, and you have fantastic views from the top of the Riviera resort.
Crystal Palace
Located in the Magic Kingdom, Crystal Palace is probably my favorite place to enjoy breakfast there. A great tip is to get an early reservation here before the park opens. They’ll let you in for your reservation so you can get some great photos without tons of people in the background and by the time you finish your breakfast the park will just be opening so it won’t be crowded yet. They have a buffet with lots of standard breakfast items, including a chef that will do a create your own omelette station. In addition, the Winnie the Pooh characters are here so you can meet Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger.
Be Our Guest
also in the Magic Kingdom, Be Our Guest has recently started offering breakfast – a good opportunity if you’re still trying to get into this place but haven’t had any luck with the super popular lunch and dinner reservations. Technically this is a quick service meal – your order at a touch screen, find your own seat, and then the food is brought to you. Breakfast was almost $25 when I ate there but if you have the dining plan you can use a quick service credit, which is a fantastic value. The meal starts off with a plate of pastries for you table and then you are brought the entrée you selected. When I ate here I felt the food was good but not great, but it is a stunning restaurant that is absolutely worth eating in for the atmosphere.
Akershus
this is my go-to place if I want to meet the princesses. It’s more affordable and easier to get a reservation here than at Cinderella’s Royal Table, and you still get to meet the likes of Belle, Cinderella, Ariel, or whichever princesses are around that day. There is a buffet with pastries and cold items, and then you are brought a platter served family style of typical breakfast foods such as bacon, eggs, and potatoes.
1900 Park Fare
This breakfast buffet at the Grand Floridian is a wonderful opportunity to meet a bunch of characters – some of the ones there when we visited included Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Pooh, and Tigger (though this is subject to change). I really enjoyed the food here, it’s some of my favorite breakfast items. There are some unique things on the buffet, including the chilled strawberry soup and lobster eggs benedict.
Boma
Animal Kingdom Lodge is home to my favorite restaurants at Disney, and Boma is no exception. The breakfast here, just like all the meals, is African inspired. So while you’ll find typical things like eggs and bacon, you’ll also be able to enjoy spiced ham, fruit with curry yogurt, and more. It’s another buffet so a great opportunity to try some new things!
This blog makes me hungry!
Me too! Much better than my toast for breakfast, haha.
We had lunch at Akershus and it was amazing! I can only imagine how good their breakfast would be.
Yes, I’ve done dinner there too and really enjoyed it! A great place for princesses 🙂
All of these pictures are making me hungry! I have not been to Disney World in years but I remember the food being so yummy everywhere we went. If I visit again I will have to check out these places.
The food is honestly one of my favorite parts about going to Disney 😉 So many good options!
Boma is incredible, I’ve never thought about breakfast there, though! Might have to add that to our list for the next trip.
I definitely prefer the dinner at Boma, it’s so good, but the breakfast is a really nice option too! I’ve done it twice now.
Good to know!
I’m definitely going to have to remember this list for when my husband and I go to Disneyworld soon! Thanks!
You’re welcome, I hope you find some good places to enjoy!
These look so good! We’re never usually moving early enough for breakfast IN the park but have done lunch at several of these!
Haha, I’m not usually much of a breakfast person either – I like to go when I’m not planning a full park day and have a late breakfast or even brunch.
I’ll be going for my birthday so I’ll definitely have to check some of these out! They all look so yummy.
That’s great, I hope you have a fantastic birthday trip!
Lots of great options! I particularly love Akershus, but that’s probably because I worked there 🙂

Well then I could definitely see why that one might be special to you!
We did breakfast at 1900 Park Fare not too long ago and it was amazing! I couldn’t stop eating!
Yes, I would love to go back for another breakfast there!
