A look at all of the bars and lounges on the Disney Fantasy:
A cruise is a great time to relax and enjoy your time off. And believe it or not, a Disney Cruise is a great place for adults (not just kids!). There are a number of adults-only spaces on the ships, and like all things with Disney they are very well themed.
If you’re looking for a drink or place to enjoy some entertainment, The Disney Fantasy has plenty of bars and lounges for you to choose from. Whether it’s sitting by the pool sipping a frozen cocktail, or feeling like you’re transported to the streets of Italy, you’ll find something for everyone.
Europa District
If you’re looking for some unique bars and lounges on the Disney Fantasy, the Europa district is the place to go. It’s made up of 5 different bars, and each one is themed after a different European location. This area of the ship is also for adults 18+ only.
La Piazza
Location: Deck 4 Aft
Drink highlights: Escalus (Bourbon, Campari, Limoncello, Fresh Ginger, Orange Juice, Mint Leaves), Aperol Spritz
La Piazza is the Italian section of the Europa district, and it’s decorated to look like an old-style carousel. The bar is actually right in the middle of the carousel! There are some cozy booths around the edges to sit in, as well as a fun photo op with a vespa. Drinks, of course, focus on Italian liqueurs, wines, and beers.
O’Gill’s Pub
Deck: Deck 4 Aft
Drink highlights: Craft beers on draft
Ireland is the place to head for a pint! They have a number of different beers from all over the world on draft, as well as a good selection of Belgian and other specialty beers. If you’re the kind of person that needs to catch a sports game while you’re at sea, this is also the place to do it. Although I’m a beer lover, my favorite drink here was actually a cocktail: The Gin Tea Tonic (Hendrick’s Gin, Green Mango Peach Tea, King’s Ginger) was delightful, and came served in a teapot with a teacup!
Ooh La La
Location: Deck 4 Aft
Drink highlights: Elderbubble (Absolut raspberry, elderflower liqueur, and champagne), champagne tasting trio
Ooh La La is the French champagne bar. They have a variety of sparkling wines (and non-sparkling wines), as well as some specialty cocktails. There are a variety of champagnes for different budgets depending on what you’re looking for. The decor is very elegant but cozy.
The Tube
Location: Deck 4 Aft
Drink highlights: Mind the Gap (Crown Royal, Drambuie, and Coca-Cola), Wimbledon (Gin, Pimm’s No. 1, Lime Juice, Cranberry Juice)
The Tube is a large space that is used for much of the late-night, adults only events. The themeing is very well done, with lots of touches to remind you of the London Underground. A large bar sits in the center with Big Ben above it. They have a number of cocktails, as well as beers and a few whiskeys.
Skyline Lounge
Location: Deck 4 Aft
Drink highlights: Aphrodite (Metaxa, Cointreau, Orange Passion Juice, Thyme, Coriander, Rosemary, Basil and Mint), Aquincum (Tequila, Grand Marnier, Paprika, Lime Juice)
The Skyline Lounge represents 7 different countries – the bar has a large “window” behind it that changes every so often to a different city’s skyline. The drink menu also embraces the theme, with 2 featured drinks for each country you’ll find there. They include Paris, London, Barcelona, St. Petersburg, Athens, Florence, and Budapest. This was probably our favorite spot on the ship and they had some really unique cocktails, so I’d recommend going more than once if this interests you!
This is your main pool bar, located one deck up from the center pool and just below Goofy’s Sports Deck. You have a variety of cocktails, beers, and wines here, with a focus on tropical and frozen cocktails.
Cove Bar
Location: Deck 11 Forward
Drink highlights: Strawberry Basil Spritz, Tropical Negroni
The Cove Pool is the adults-only pool, so and this is the pool bar in that area. While you can get the standard pool menu here, there is also a small menu with drinks exclusive to this location.
Currents
Location: Deck 13 Forward
Drink highlights: Strawberry Basil Spritz, Tropical Negroni
This bar is located up on deck 13, by the adults-only pool area. It has a menu identical to the Cove Bar above.
Coffee Bars
Cove Cafe
Location: Deck 11 forward
Drink highlights: Salted caramel coconut latte, green tea matcha
If it’s specialty coffee you’re looking for, the Cove Cafe is the place to go. You’ll find espresso drinks, lattes, and more. It’s a nice, but small, indoor space and a good place to spend some downtime. For a fun Disney touch, you may even get a Disney character decorating the top of your latte!
Vista Cafe
Location: Deck 4 midship
Drink highlights: Fit frappe, espresso martini
A cafe that mostly focuses on specialty coffees and teas, it also offers cocktails in the evening. It’s kind of tucked away in a corner, so you might miss it if you aren’t on the lookout. There isn’t much seating in this area so I mostly think of it as a grab and go place. They have a number of pastries in the morning as well.
Other Bars & Lounges
Bon Voyage
Location: Deck 3 midship
Drink highlights: Welcome Home, Sommelier bin
This is the bar you’ll find when you first arrive in the atrium of the Disney Fantasy. In addition to a standard bar menu, you can also find a specialty cocktail here called the “Welcome Home.” There’s also a wine option called the “Sommelier bin,” which gives you a mystery glass of wine for a set price of $14. It’s way for Disney to use up bottles of wine that have been opened and can sometimes be a great deal if you’re adventurous!
Preludes
Location: Deck 3 Forward
Drink highlights: Drink of the day, standard bar menu
If you need a quick snack or drink before a show in the Walt Disney Theater, Preludes is the place to grab it. You’ll find a standard bar menu here, with wine, beer, basic cocktails, and the drink of the day typically being available.
Meridian
Location: Deck 12 Aft
Drink highlights: Singapore Sling, Pink Cadillac (Ciroc, Malibu, Watermelon, Moët & Chandon Ice)
Meridian is located in between the two signature dining restaurants, Palo and Remy. It is located at the very back of the ship, and has a nice view of the ocean. You can sit inside or outside, but the inside is really beautiful. It has cushions that look like suitcases and passport stamps on a wall, and was designed to be a “love letter to the golden age of travel.”
D Lounge
Location: Deck 4
Drink highlights: standard bar menu
The D Lounge is where many events and activities happen throughout the day, including trivia, karaoke, games, and more. There is a bar located in the back of the lounge, but we’ve found it’s not always open. When it is available you’ll have your standard bar menu options. If you’re looking for a drink and it’s not open, the Vista Cafe or Bon Voyage are not too far away.
