I’ve become so interested by the idea of Disney Bounding that I now try to do it almost every trip I go on. It’s a lot of fun to try and dress up like a character but wearing everyday clothing. When we took our girls only trip last August it was a bit last minute, so I threw together a quick Disney Bound from what I had in my closet.
If you’re not familiar, Disney Bounding is a super fun way to show a little of your Disney passion without being over the top obvious about it. Basically, Disney Bounding is when you dress in the colors or style of a certain character, but you use your every day clothes instead of a costume. I’ve done Disney bounds as Elsa, Anna, Ariel, Dory, Snow White, Gaston, and Minnie Mouse.
There are really only two parts needed for the most simple of Winnie the Pooh Disney Bounds, and that’s a red shirt and yellow/goldish bottom. Because you know, the red shirt is basically all Pooh wears! But you can certainly dress it up with additional accessories. And if you have a group of friends, maybe they could put together some other related Disney Bounds (like Eeyore, Tigger, or Piglet!).
Do you have a plain red shirt in your closet? If so, you’re halfway there. A basic t-shirt is fine, though you can really do it in any style you want. It’s more about the colors! I got mine at Target, but you can get a super cheap one almost anywhere, including Amazon (which is always my preferred way to shop because I’m lazy and 2 day shipping is great!).
For the bottom I decided to go with a skirt (I’m a notorious pants hater. I much prefer dresses and skirts). This is the exact skirt I bought from Amazon, in the color “mustard.” I thought the color worked pretty perfectly and it was a cute, comfy, inexpensive skirt.
Because mine was last minute that was basically the extent of my outfit, but you could also add some details and accessories! For instance, you could look at this cute honeybee necklace. A cute headband or bow would be a great hair accessory, and add a nice pair of shoes and you’re good to go!
What do you think of this Winnie the Pooh Disney Bound? What character from the 100 acre wood would you want to do a Disney Bound for?
That’s me =D
