We’re down to two months before the race! I got to make my FastPass+ reservations this week, so I’ll be riding the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Nothing left for Anna and Elsa, of course, by the time I booked, but I’ll meet them eventually! With just eight weeks left I’m feeling pretty good right now.
On Monday I went for my usual morning run and had my best time yet for a half hour run, especially considering I’m usually faster at night! So definitely no complaints about that. I was feeling pretty good this week with the running.
For whatever reason, RunKeeper didn’t save my run data from Wednesday. I did do my half hour run though, and if I remember correctly I was at about an 11:15 min/mile pace.
And then there was Friday – the day that I was going to do my longest run that I’ve done so far. I’ve done a couple of 10k’s so I’ve done about 6.2 miles, but hadn’t gone beyond that before. This week was 7 miles. I tried to treat it as close to race conditions as possible – I ate pasta about six hours before running, and I went at night. I purposely kept my pace slower in the beginning so I would make it through all seven miles, which was a very good idea. And let me tell you – this run felt great. I did my seven miles and could’ve kept going for 10. My goal for the 10 miles is to keep around a 12:30 min/mile pace (not counting character stops) so this seems like a really good sign that I’ll be able to do that!
Feeling good this week!
We’re training for the 10-miler too!
