The Jungle Cruise is a fan favorite with many Disney lovers – it’s fully of corny jokes and fun things to see. But it gets even better around the holidays, when it turns into the Jingle Cruise. A pretty easy Christmas overlay to the ride makes it festive and special for the holidays!
To begin with, all of the boats are “renamed” for the holidays. They now feature names like “Vixen Val” and “Garland Gertie.”
Your skipper will still be making lots of corny jokes, but a good number of them now will probably have a Christmas theme to them. This can be pretty fun if you’ve been on the Jungle Cruise a lot before and have gotten used to some of the typical jokes that they use. It’s nice to switch things up once in awhile!
They’ve also added Christmas decor and other little odds and ends in with the animal scenery. You’ve got the crocodiles with their stockings hung, Monkeys wearing santa hats, Gorillas in Christmas outfits with presents all around, and various Christmas trees, gifts, and poinsettias strewn throughout the jungle.
The ride itself is the same, and it’s just all these little extras that make it different for Christmas. Some extra decor and different jokes turn this into the Jingle Cruise. It’s a simple change, so don’t expect anything big, but I love that Disney does this. I think it’ something relatively simple that they can do to make the parks even more festive for the holidays, and I definitely appreciate it!
Have you ever tried the Jungle Cruise during Christmas time, when it’s the Jingle Cruise?
that sounds like fun. I’ve been on the Jungle Cruise but not the Jingle Cruise 😉
Yeah, it’s a fun little Christmas twist!
Aww! Never gotten the chance to try it, but it sure sounds like a fun change for Christmas!
It is, I really appreciate the fact that they do something a little different for Christmas!
