It’s that time again – Stitch Fix! Stitch Fix is a subscription box service that has you fill out a style profile survey, and then they send you 5 clothing items to try on – you decide what to keep and what to send back!
I had the same stylist that I’ve had since the beginning, Julie. She’s usually spot on, but I will admit I was just a bit disappointed with this fix. I had asked for dresses, skirts, and shirts for summer, and while she did do that, she didn’t consider any of my other requests. I asked for items that were machine washable and only got one. And I had also explicitly stated on my style profile “no maxis” – and I got two maxi dresses and skirt. So that was a bit disappointing, but I’m willing to give her another chance.
Carlita Multi Chevron Print Maxi Dress – $78
This was probably my second favorite item in the fix. If I liked the maxi dress style more I probably would have kept it, as I thought the pattern was fun and the cut was flattering. One minor issue is that it was a little low cut in the chest area, which would have made it difficult to wear for work. Verdict: Sent back.
Montezuma Split Neck Blouse – $44
Out of the box this was a really cute shirt. And I think on someone else it would look awesome. My issue was that it was a bit tight on me and the fit just wasn’t very good. It sat weird on my chest area. It’s totally see-through but works well with a tank underneath. Verdict: Sent back.
Amery Mixed Material Knit Top – $44
Definitely the biggest disappointment in the box. $44 dollars for a plain white tank top that was completely see through? I’m okay with wearing a tank under a shirt, but a tank under a tank is just silly. No way. Verdict: Sent back.
Alanis Maxi Skirt – $44
The design of the this skirt was okay, but it was really long and had a ton of fabric. In the picture I had it pulled up to just under my chest and it was still dragging a little. Perhaps this would be a good one for someone that is very tall and likes maxi skirts. Verdict: sent back.
Tom Maxi Dress – $74
I really liked the look and pattern of this dress. The price is a bit high, but I liked the way it looked on me and I didn’t want to lose my styling fee so I decided to give this one a try. I don’t think I’ll ever be a big maxi dress fan but I will give this one a try. It’s super soft and comfortable and I do think I’ll get use out of it. Verdict: Kept.
So while last month was probably my favorite fix, I have to say this might have been my least favorite. Three of the items were things I explicitly stated I didn’t want, and the white tank is a disappointment. Hoping the next fix in July is better!
If you’re interested in signing up for your own Fix, I would love it if you’d use my referral link – it would give me a $25 credit to use on a future fix, and doesn’t cost you anything. I used a friend’s link when I signed up for mine so I could help her out, so I know it’s much appreciated!

I just recently placed my order for my first stitch and I’m anxiously awaiting its arrival at the end of the month. Several friends at work have been raving about their fixes so I decided to check it out.
I hope you get some good items that you enjoy! It’s fun getting surprises in the mail 🙂
Omg what is with that white tank? Big no. I’m getting my next stitchfix next Wednesday. Wish me luck!
Right? That was such a weird one! Good luck with your next fix – hope you’ll be sharing because I’m looking forward to seeing what you get!
I plan on it! My photographer (my boyfriend…) will be out of town so I’ll need to figure out my remote and tripod on my camera haha. We shall see!
