I’ve been receiving Stitch Fix for quite awhile, but I decided to do something a little fun and Disney oriented with this one! I asked my stylist, Julie, for outfits that would be good for a day in Animal Kingdom. Can I just say for a moment how much I love Julie? She’s been picking my clothes out for almost 3 years now, and I feel like we need more than the limited amount of characters they give us to chat! Even with those limits she’s telling me about a trip she has planned for her kids to Disneyland 🙂
I was hoping for perhaps some animal prints, but Julie said they didn’t really have any. She did find some other light and airy things that would work well for a day at Animal Kingdom and I was excited to try them on!
NINE BRITTON Eris Knit Dress – $44
Julie suggested this as a possible zebra inspired outfit, and I actually really liked that idea. The dress was cute, and the best part was that it has pockets! However, I don’t feel like this loose flowy dresses are a good look on me. I prefer something more fitted because otherwise it kinda makes me feel huge. I could add a belt, but at $44 I’d prefer to save my money for a dress that flatters me and fits me perfectly.
PAPERMOON Egan One Pocket Knit Top – $38
This tank top is light and cute and perfect for Disney in the summer, and the colors are great for a day at Animal Kingdom. I went back and forth on whether or not I wanted to keep this one multiple times, though I ultimately sent it back. It was really close though!
ID: 23 Chiara Denim Short – $48
These shorts are the ones in the photo above, as well as with the other shirts I tried on in this fix. They were pretty stretchy and comfortable, and I’ve been needing some new shorts. $48 is more than I would normally want to pay for a pair of shorts, but I’m hoping they’ll last awhile. There was nothing else in the fix I was totally in love with so this is what I ended up keeping – and it’s already packed in my suitcase for my trip in 9 days!
PAPERMOON Marisol Mixed Material Knit Top – $34
This was soft and comfortable, but actually pretty similar to something I already own (also from a past Stitch Fix!). It’s the same colors, and with polka dots on the back, but the one I own is stripes on the front instead of solid. It was soft and okay but not something I needed to add to my collection.
ALICE BLUE Simona Henley Blouse – $38
Julie picked this one out because of the feather like pattern that might be reminiscent of some of the exotic birds in animal kingdom. While I do like feather patterns, I’m not big on this style of shirt or the olive green color, so I sent it back.
It’s always a fun way to combine my love of Disney and my obsession with clothing! Have you tried Stitch Fix yet? Have you challenged your stylist to help you dress for a Disney trip?
What do you think of my stylist’s choices? What would you wear for a day in Animal Kingdom?
