Pop in a Box subscription box

Pop in a Box - Disney in your Day

I was sent this subscription box for free in exchange for an honest review.  All opinions are my own.

If you like to collect anything (geeky stuff – Disney or otherwise!), chances are good that you’re familiar with Funko Pop Vinyls.  These big head figurines are adorable and represent a huge variety of fandoms – there’s plenty of Disney ones, but also Star Wars, super heroes, Star Trek, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and lots of others!

The Pop in a Box USA website offers a lot of cool features for those who collect Pop vinyls, including a way to track which vinyls you own and also a subscription box option!  I’d like to talk about both here.

monthly funko pop vinyls

Their website allows you to keep track of and maintain your collection online.  I love the way that it’s set up.  The kinds of Pops available are broken into categories so you can browse sections that interest you.  They include Disney, Television, Movies, and then you can browse by more specific ones like Game of Thrones, the Muppets, Star Wars, etc.

Once you’re viewing the individual vinyls you have the option for each one to mark if you have it in your collection.  You an also put a “thumbs up” for ones that you want, or “thumbs down” for ones that you have no interest in.

If you subscribe to their monthly subscription option, Pop in a Box then uses your collection info to send you a Pop that is tailored to your needs.  They will make sure not to send one that you already have, and will try to send you one that you’ve “thumbed up”. They will also never send you anything that you’ve given a thumbs down to. How cool is that?  You’re pretty much guaranteed to get something that you want.

For the monthly box you can choose how many vinyls you get each month and the price adjusts accordingly.  You can start with as little as one Pop a month for $9.99 plus shipping.  If you get more, like 3 Pops a month, it is $27.99 – so the more you buy the less you’re paying per Pop vinyl.

Pop in a Box - Disney in your Day

I was sent a 1 Pop Vinyl box, and I had filled out my profile and all before it was sent.  I got Dr. Facilier, the villain from one of my favorite Disney movies, The Princess and the Frog.  I really do think this box has the best of both worlds – you still have the element of surprise where you don’t know what you’re getting, but you’re getting something that you know you will like.

Pop in a Box - Disney in your Day

One other thing I want to mention is their awesome Free Pops program.  When you join you get a link to share with friends, and if someone signs up using your link then you get credit towards a free Pop (4 friends who sign up get you 1 free Pop) – and they get a 5% discount!  If you’re interested and want to sign up using my link I would be very appreciative.

Do you collect Pop Vinyls?  Which ones are your favorite?

I’ve never heard of these before, but it’s the kind of “geeky” my oldest daughter loves! I could see her anxiously awaiting these; though she’s much more a Doctor Who, Star Wars fan than Disney. I’m checking them out now for her!!:)

Sounds like it would be perfect for her – she can put that she prefers the Star Wars and Dr. Who ones!

I have never heard of this before, but will have to look into it more. I have a son who might find these very interesting. We are all about Disney in our house.

Oh I wish I had an extra $10 a month for this! Unfortunately we will be heavily budgeting in Florida… so no subscription boxes for awhile 🙁 Maybe someday!

That is so cool! My husband just got one for Christmas from BSG with our son’s name on it 🙂 I have a Elsa one, but I wouldn’t say I was a collector. I’m not big on extra clutter so they aren’t my favourite.

Fun! I only have a couple as well because I have a few other things I collect and I don’t have the space to add anything else right now!

How fun! I’ve seen these but do not collect them myself. I love how there’s a subscription box for these so you get a treat each month.
