Tea samples were provided to me free of charge from Plum Deluxe Tea. All opinions are honest and my own.
Taking the time to relax has been difficult lately, but there’s nothing I enjoy more than settling down with a book and a good cup of tea. And since I’ve been recovering this week from my fall and told not to exercise for at least a week, I ended up with a little more time to sit and relax! If you’re not a subscriber to my newsletter and didn’t hear, I tripped within the first two minutes of the Hershey 10k last Saturday, fell on my chin, and was off to the hospital to get stitches. While it could have been worse, I ended up not only in pain but very frustrated and stressed that I didn’t get to do the race after training for it.
But there’s nothing to ease the stress like a good cup of tea, and fresh, delicious loose leaf tea is the very best. Plum Deluxe Tea Company has a plethora of options on their website – it was hard to decide exactly which I selected a few, and was also excited to hear about their monthly tea subscription service.
For their tea of the month club you can pay $10 month to get an exclusive tea for that month plus a sample of an additional tea. Or you can pay $16 per month to get those two things mentioned plus one additional surprise signature blend. I ended up with the exclusive tea for the month plus sample, as well as two other full sized signature blends that I picked out.
The exclusive tea I received was the “Easy Being Green” green tea. I will admit that in general green tea isn’t my favorite, but this one actually won me over. I normally find green tea to be a little too bland for my liking, but this one had raspberry and blueberry flavoring in it which was delicious.
The other “sample” I got was the coconut macaron dessert tea. It really was perfect for enjoying right after dinner. It had a smooth, sweet, and buttery taste.
Of the other two teas I ordered, the first was the Gratitude Blend, which is a strawberry earl grey. It smelled amazing. Great Earl Grey taste with a little bit of extra flavor. Earl Grey is my favorite type of tea so I loved this new take on it. This will quickly become a fast favorite, I’m sure. It also has a beautiful red color.
The last tea I got was the Passion blend oolong tea. I found it to be very smooth with a good balance of sweetness without being too strong. The taste of peaches was definitely clear. It reminded me a little of my absolute favorite tea growing up, called Ginger Peach. So in many ways, this cup of tea tastes like childhood and takes me back to a good place.
I find myself drinking more loose leaf tea lately now that I have an awesome and easy to use tea infuser, and I have a feeling Plum Deluxe will be one of the first places I turn to when I need more tea. I might have to make the tea of the month club something that I try out – I love variety so getting to try a new tea every month would be great! So if you don’t mind me, I’ll just be curled up with a book and my cup of tea just like my favorite princess Belle. 🙂
This would make an awesome gift for Mother’s Day, but I have some other thoughts as well. I wonder if any of my friends might be interested in having a tea party with me? Or perhaps like their blog suggests, we could throw an Alice in Wonderland style un-birthday tea party!
Which of the Plum Deluxe tea flavors sounds best to you?
