Welcome to this month’s Blogorail Black Loop. Today we are sharing gift ideas for Mother’s Day.
Ever feel stumped on what to get your mom for Mother’s Day? It feels like there are only so many mugs, bouquets of flowers, and chocolates that you can get before it starts to feel a little old. That’s where a unique website like Uncommon Goods comes in. They offer gifts and items that are really different from the typical stuff, and they have a whole section of stuff that is perfect for Mother’s Day.
There are lots of cool things to be found online, but it always helps when you can make sure that the company you’re ordering from is reliable. UncommonGoods has been awarded for outstanding customer service every year since 2007, so you know that they will work hard for you and are a company that you can count on.
With this being a Disney blog, I looked through and found some fun items that reminded me of Disney. They aren’t actually Disney things, but more subtle reminders of certain attractions in the theme parks, movies, etc. Some people don’t like over-the-top Disney items like a t-shirt emblazoned with Mickey’s face, but these are fun reminders of the theme parks without being overt about it. From jewelry to home goods, here are some of my favorite choices:
Literary Candles
I’m a book lover, and there’s no doubt that I take after my mom in that regard. All of these scents sound awesome, but if she’s a Disney fan she’s sure to love Mad Tea Party, inspired by Alice in Wonderland!
Flavor Infuser Water Bottle
Is mom heading to the Disney theme parks soon? Staying hydrated is so important, but you can help her make water a little more interesting with this flavor infuser bottle. I love putting berries in mine!
State Dish Towel
Missing Disney World in Florida or Disneyland in California? Bring a little bit of the state into mom’s kitchen with one of these state dish towels!
Tea from around the World
This is a different sort of “drinking around the World” that you might do at Epcot, and which mom might have an interest in. Try different teas from all over the world right in your very own home!
Giraffe Bookends
Does mom love riding Kilimanjaro safaris at Animal Kingdom? Bring some of the giraffes into her home with these adorable bookends.
Tree of Life necklace
Another one that reminds me of Animal Kingdom, this beautiful necklace features the tree of life. You can also customize it with her birthstone.
Moon Phase Pendant
This stunning necklace shows different phases of the moon – but if you get the one with three moon phases it also creates a hidden Mickey! You can also specify a date and time for the moon phases that are represented, so you could do mom’s birthday, the birthdays of her children, or any other significant date.
Magic Lantern necklace
One more item from the necklace collection that I had to mention is this magic lantern one. Perfect for any fans of Aladdin!
Cascade Photo Display
Does your mom have photos from a family Disney trip that she’d like to display? This cascade photo display is a fun, unique way to hang them and put them up in the house!
Library Card Pillow
Is mom a frequent library visitor like Belle? This library card pillow is not only adorable, you can personalize it with your family’s names to make it something extra special for mom.

Which of these Mother’s Day gifts do you think your mom or loved one would enjoy the most?
My mom is THE disney lover of our family. Since my parents live just about 45 minutes away from D-land, they got annual passes when my brother and I moved out. I’m not kidding, they are there once a week… at least. This post is honestly perfect for me because I run out of Disney paraphernalia to surprise her with.
That’s so fun that your mom is so in to Disney! But you’re right, sometimes it can be hard to figure out what to get someone like that because they have so much already (I know my friends complain about that!). So these are some good options 🙂
I love finding unique gifts like this – I search and search the entire internet for ideas, and this is one of the sites I always include in my search! Thanks for gathering together such a great list!
I agree, I love to pop on here when I’m trying to get gifts for people – especially those who are difficult to buy for!
That library pillow is actually really a cool idea! My sis in law loves Belle! I love the moon phases hidden Mickey necklace for myself though!
As a librarian, I especially love that library pillow 😉
I’ve never purchased anything from Uncommon Goods but that obviously needs to change. 🙂 I love the magic lantern necklace.
Yeah, it’s a really neat shop – I find some good gifts there for people who are tough to buy for!
I’m sure most moms will appreciate unique gifts instead of the same old same old. I especially like the tea collection. Reminds me of having High Tea at the Grand Floridian.
Yes, I love the tea! I still need to take my mom to the Grand Floridian tea, hopefully next time I get her to come down with me.
While it would not be the right gift for my mom (she would be more into the candle), I personally LOVE the library card pillow!
I love it too, I feel like I may need to get myself one!
Oh my gosh, those giraffe bookends are to die for! Love this list, super unique stuff!
I would love to have those myself, giraffes are my favorite animal!
