Mickey Monthly review – December 2016 + giveaway!

Mickey Monthly review - Disney in your Day

With all of the issues my family has been going through lately (like my poor sick kitty), a little bit of extra pixie dust in the form of a Mickey Monthly subscription box definitely puts a smile on my face. It may not fix the problems but it brings some joy at least for a little bit into the day.  And this box is special because it’s going to be a giveaway just for you!

Mickey Monthly has a variety of options on their website now which is great for whatever budget you have and whatever it is you’re looking for.  The box I received this time around was one of their theme park boxes, which contains products from the parks.  I got the castle-sized box, which costs $79.99.

One of the things to keep in mind with this sort of subscription box is that you’re not just paying for the items themselves, you’re also paying for the convenience.  To get actual Disney products that are relevant and current you’re not going to find them at a discount – and in order for a subscription box company to make any sort of profit they need to charge more than what the items are worth (not to mention the time it takes for them to purchase the items and curate the boxes).  So this kind of subscription is really perfect for people who want surprises, Disney treats, and don’t have the ability to get Disney items from the parks easily.  Mickey Monthly states to expect a 55%+ value of package price.

When the first thing I saw when I opened the box was a mug, I was very happy to see it!  As you might know, I love Disney mugs.  I feel like I can never have too many (though my husband disagrees).  And I love spreading the Disney mug love to others so this will be a great thing to have!  The detail is great and I love how three dimensional it is, as opposed to just be a picture on a regular mug.

The other non-edible item in this box was a set of Haunted Mansion dish towels.  I think all of the Haunted Mansion merchandise is pretty cool, and this is no exception.  I especially like the one with the creepy wallpaper print on it.

There were two Disney treats in my box, both of which I’ve had before and love so I’m hoping whoever wins the box loves it too! The first is the Mickey confetti popcorn.  The first time I had it I thought it would just be brightly colored popcorn.  But it’s actually fruity flavored!  It basically tastes like fruity pebbles in popcorn form.  If you like sweet, you’ll love this!

The other treat was from Goofy’s Candy Co.  It is red licorice in the shape of Mickey heads.  I know it’s basically just your typical licorice, but I can’t get enough!  Plus of course everything is better when it’s Mickey shaped.

All in all everything in this box is great!  Mickey Monthly has consistently provided great products and a reliable service, so if you’re looking for some fun Disney goodies in the mail I highly recommend you check them out!  They have tons of satisfied customers and remain my top Disney subscription box choice thanks to all of the options they have and their great service.

I cannot say enough positive things about this company. They truly have amazing customer service – they even donated to the GoFundMe for my sick cat.  How incredible is that?  I am happy to support them.

And if you like this box it could be coming your way! All you have to do to enter is fill out the rafflecopter form below. Giveaway will run until midnight on January 11th (to insure that I’ll be back from the marathon to ship it!). Open to residents of the US only.

I’m in LOVE with the Haunted Mansion towels! I saw these on my last trip and was tempted to pick them up, but didn’t get a chance to go back and grab them. They’re so cute!

Okay those Haunted Mansion towels are amazing! I don’t think I’ve seen them at Disneyland. And you can’t go wrong with a Disney mug!

Yes, it’s a really great way to have a little bit of Disney in the home even when you can’t be in the parks!

My favorite thing about this box is the mug! I collect unique mugs. My sister got me the Chip B&TB one for my birthday in October ?

That Chip mug is one that I don’t have! I absolutely love mugs and will hopefully add him to my collection someday.
