Every March I like to get Disney fans to vote in a bracket style tournament for something Disney related – In the past I’ve had my readers vote on their favorite attraction (Haunted Mansion), favorite food (Dole Whip), animated Disney movie (The Lion King), favorite song (Under the Sea), and Pixar movie (Toy Story). This year I thought it would be fun to talk about Disney villains!

So what are you really voting for when it comes to Disney villains? Your favorite? The one you think is the most evil/villainous? The most interesting character? That’s really up to you. Whatever it means to you for someone to be the “best” Disney villain, vote for that one. For me personally, I think I’ll be voting for the villains I find the most complex while also being obviously evil.
How did I pick these 32? I decided to stick with villains from the classic animated Disney films. That meant no Pixar villains, live action, etc. I tried to pick the ones that would be most familiar to people.
If you’re a big Disney fan you’ll probably recognize most of these names, but here are a few explanations on which movie a villain is from in case you’ve forgotten a few of them: Bowler Hat Guy is from Meet the Robinsons, The Hunter refers to Bambi, Chernabog is from Fantasia, Gantu is from Lilo and Stitch, Clayton is from Tarzan, Horned King is from the Black Cauldron, King Candy is from Wreck It Ralph, Monstro is the whale from Pinocchio, Te Ka is from Moana, and Madame Medusa is from The Rescuers.
Some of these decisions might be hard, especially as we narrow it down more. A common response on these tournaments is “how can I possibly pick between these two?” But do your best to pick your favorite, and may the “best” villain win! We’ll advance to the next round the following Monday. So vote now!
