It’s the final round of the Disney villains tournament – only two remain…
A lot of this tournament didn’t go the way I was expecting to go, but I will admit that this final two also has me surprised. Personally, I love Dr. Facilier as a villain, but I always feel like the Princess and the Frog is very underrated. So I’m thrilled to see him appearing in the final two of this tournament! Dr. Facilier is pretty evil, as far as villains go – after all, he does have “friends from the other side” and seems to have no qualms about doing evil things. He’s also got a great villain song and an intriguing character, being someone who can do magic but “can’t conjure anything for himself.”
And while I didn’t expect Hades to make it this far, I do think this makes sense. He’s pretty evil (god of the underworld and all), but he’s also got a lot of personality and is very entertaining. Hercules is a great movie and is also underrated if you ask me. So while I expected to see more classic villains here, like Maleficent, Ursula, and Scar, it’s still a great final match-up.
