Every March I like to get Disney fans to vote in a bracket style tournament for something Disney related – In the past I’ve had my readers vote on their favorite attraction (Haunted Mansion), favorite restaurant (Jiko), favorite food (Dole Whip), animated Disney movie (The Lion King), and Pixar movie (Toy Story). This year, while searching for new topic, I decided to go back to the movies and do Disney songs.
Wow, there are a lot of great Disney songs. I narrowed it down to 32 so we could vote, but there easily could have been many more. While making the selections I kept a few things in mind: I stuck to animated movies but did include partly animated films, such as Mary Poppins. Two Pixar songs made the cut. I didn’t include more than 2 songs from the same movie.
I suspect most of them will be familiar to the majority of big Disney fans, but in case you’re a more casual fan or have just missed a few of the less common ones, I’ll point a few out. “Try Everything” is the Shakira song from Zootopia. “Almost There” is from Princess and the Frog, “Strangers Like Me” is from Tarzan, and “Remember Me” is from Coco. If there are any others you’re unfamiliar with, ask in the comments!
Some of the decisions might be hard, especially as we narrow it down more. There are so many great Disney songs. A common response on these tournaments is “how can I possibly pick between these two?” But do your best to pick your favorite, and may the best tune win! We’ll advance to the next round the following Monday. So vote now!

Ooh yes, great idea! Sad you could only use 32 songs, but I know it’ll be a pain to use EVERY animated Disney movie song, lol! Unless you wanted to do them in stages like vote for Best Disney song from Walt’s Era, Best from the Silver Age, Best from The Renaissance, etc. and then vote for the best of those best.
But I can’t wait to find out which one wins! A Whole New World has been said to be the best Disney song ever, so I’m curious to see what will happen with it in this game.
Okay this was SO much fun! I think it would come down to I’ll Make a Man Out of You or Be Our Guest for first place in my heart. But this made me smile because Disney songs are just the happiest. My husband and I always play them and sing along on road trips!
