March tournament 2024 – Marvel superheroes, round 4

We are now on to round 4, which means we now have your final 4 Marvel Superheroes!

We’re down to one from the earlier Avengers, one from our Disney+ shows, one from the later group of Avengers, and one from our “other” category. If I had to guess from the beginning, I don’t know that I would have predicted all of these results!

Our victor from the earlier Avengers is Captain America. this was, as I expected, an incredibly close vote. Ties everywhere! The poll on my blog ended in a tie. The poll on instagram ended in a tie. I had to resort to a poll in my facebook group, which gave Cap the edge by just one vote (and if I hadn’t done the facebook poll Iron Man would have won because I asked my husband to vote and that’s what he picked – traitor!).

In reality, I think we know if this bracket had been arranged differently, we would have probably come down to Captain America and Iron Man as our final two going. And really, what’s in the fun in that? That’s why I switched it up a little!

And how will Captain America fare against Captain Carter, our Disney+ champion? Lovers going head to head. If Captain Carter had been the one to take the super soldier serum, would she have been even better than Captain America? That’s for Disney in your Day fans to decide!

Now don’t underestimate the earlier Avengers, represented by Black Panther. This was one of the ones that surprised me just a bit. Not because I don’t think Black Panther is a fantastic superhero (he definitely is!), but because he was up against Spider-Man, one of the most popular superheroes of all time. Spider-Man has lots of great things going for him. But T’Challa, is powerful, smart, caring, and more, so I think he’s deserving of this spot.

But wait – the original Black Panther, T’Challa, now has to face off against the new Black Panther – Shuri, his own sister! Shuri is brilliant, brave, and strong, and took on the mantle of the Black Panther in a very tumultuous time for Wakanda.

I didn’t imagine that we would have Captain vs. Captain, Black Panther vs. Black Panther in this semi-final round, but here we are! Two lovers against each other. A brother vs. a sister. Amazing characters and heroes all around. Who will win?

There’s only one way to find out what will happen now, so let’s get the voting going. It’s time to cast your votes for round 4!

Did your favorite make it into the final 4? Who are you rooting for now?
