March Tournament! Pixar Movies

March 1, 2016 by Becky 50 Comments

Pixar Movie Tournament!

I love ranking things, rating them, and voting.  So the past couple of years I’ve been hosting some tournaments on the blog – we’ve done Disney restaurants and animated Disney movies.  Since it’s March again I decided it was time for another one – and this time we’ll be pitting the Pixar films against each other!

I feel like this is going to be one of the hardest tournaments to make decisions in.  So many of the Pixar films are really strong that it’s hard to pick one over the other.  These are super quality films and  know there are so many favorites, so I’m very interested to see how they do!  I know what my top three or so are, so I’ll be rooting for them to see how far they go.

This first round will narrow it down to the true contenders.  From there it will just get tougher – I’ll be posting the results each week so you can vote for your favorites and keep them alive in the competition.  May the best Pixar film win!

OMGosh. I have to admit: no kids. So, no kids, no cartoons. No animated features. I just don’t watch them like I would if I were a mom or aunt to young ones. So not qualified to vote!

Haha understandable! I don’t have kids either though. So I still highly recommend watching them if you get a chance, they are excellent movies for all ages!

I LOVE this idea! I didn’t think it was going to be difficult but man it was! I tied a lot of my answers back to my nostalgia, so I definitely think how old someone is will affect their answers. I cant wait to see the next round!

Also, unpopular opinion: I hated Wall-E. I just don’t get the film, and it makes me sad because everyone loves it! Out of all of these I think I’m rooting for Finding Nemo or A Bug’s Life!

I agree, it’s so hard! And I’m not a really big fan of Wall-e either. I dunno, I feel like it could have been a decent short or something but it just felt a bit heavy-handed to be a whole animated film.

I’ll be very curious. I love Inside Out – but I think a lot of adults that are voting now have stronger emotional/nostalgic attachment to some of the older films they grew up with.
