Blog updates
I had an awesome trip to Disney the first week of May! I may have fallen behind on some blog related things I wanted to get to, but it was such a needed break and a wonderful trip. I’ve been publishing some new content related to that and have more planned as well… before I’m off for another trip in the beginning of July! My day job has been extremely busy lately so I’ve been exhausted more often than not, which means I don’t always get to the blog stuff I want to do. Hopefully I can find time for the writing and things I truly enjoy.
May 2021 goals
- Completely finish the SSSEO Lessons and figure out when it makes sense to do the bonus lessons (I did finish the “main” course but there’s still a lot to apply and work on from it!)
- Dig into Core Web Vitals and improve my site speed insights to a level that Google is happy with (I’ve been doing a lot of work with this, and I think I’m definitely seeing improvement. I’m hoping by the end of this month I’ll have everything how I want it!)
- Update 2 old blog posts (still didn’t get around to this)
- Create category page about dining (I started building it but didn’t make as much progress as I’d hoped)
- Write a “complete guide” to another resort (started work on it but didn’t finish it)
- Have fun in Disney and get some new blog material! (I had such an amazing trip! I’ve written already about what’s different, my disneybound, Flower and Garden, and Topolino’s Terrace character meal – and have more content to come!)
- Successfully run my half marathon this month and develop a training plan for my September half marathon (yes, it was a hot one but I got my second best time! And have a plan to prepare for the fall)
- Hopefully complete some travel agent bookings for the Disney Wish (I did SO much work and ended up only booking myself on the Wish, with 1 potential booking on the horizon. I did book 2 other cruises on other ships).
- Clean off and organize my office desk (nope)
- Write out at least a very basic itinerary for my other vacations this year (at least for July, but I need to do more on this)
- Complete travel agent training for Virgin Voyages cruise line (I didn’t, but I made progress. I also finished Disney’s College of Knowledge travel agent training updates)
June blog goals
- Optimize all of my images and clear out old content that isn’t being used
- Update 2 older blog posts
- Finish category page about Disney dining
- Finish the complete guide to the Contemporary resort
- Keep up with my monthly blogging checklist I created
June 2021 personal goals
- Stick to my new run training plan and include strength training
- Finalize plans/itinerary for July 2021 trip
- Finish cleaning out my guest room
- Make a few craft projects
- Complete travel agent training for Virgin Voyages cruise line
Do you have any goals this month?
I love writing out itineraries for trips! It makes me even more excited ahead of a trip. I hope you have a great time on your next trip in July!
Thank you so much! I really need to stay organized and I’ve found keeping an itinerary is a good way to do that 🙂
I struggle with remembering to update old blog posts too. It’s amazing how much content we can produce that it feels intimidating at times to dive back into it and update it…at least for me!
I have been blogging for 8 years and it feels extremely overwhelming at times. Just trying to take it a little at a time!
I can’t wait to see more content from your Disney trip. I am basically living vicariously through you at this point, haha. I am also excited to read your guide to the Contemporary. It’s one of my favorite resorts (I might say that about all of them?) but I’ve really only stayed in Bay Lake Tower. Your goals for working on your blog are inspiring. I feel like I have sooo much work to do on mine, but no time!
Thank Kait! The Contemporary was so great, I really wish I had been able to stay for more than 2 nights. I know I’ll try to stay there again in the future!
